Parking disallowed on some Greenhills streets

In a bid to improve traffic flow, Mayor Francis Zamora has signed an executive order declaring some streets in Greenhills, San Juan as “no-parking zones” starting July 25.

Under Executive Order No. 4, motorists will be prohibited from leaving their vehicles along the stretch of Club Filipino, Annapolis Street, Missouri Street, and Connecticut street from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The EO is in accordance with the declaration of some streets in San Juan as part of the Mabuhay Lanes which are being utilized to decongest EDSA.

“The MMDA has declared certain streets in the City of San Juan, particularly Routes 9 and 10, as Mabuhay Lanes to serve as secondary roads for private vehicles in order to facilitate the decongestion of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue,“ the EO read.

Owners of illegally parked vehicles on the aforementioned streets will either be given a ticket, or will have their cars towed.
