Cavitex-C5 Link flyover opens tomorrow

The 2.2-kilometer C5 Link flyover of the 7.7-kilometer Cavitex C5 Link Expressway will be accessible to motorists beginning tomorrow.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said that around 8,000 vehicles could cut travel time in half once the three lanes are opened on Tuesday.

“Vehicular traffic spends about 1.5 hours just to cross from Villamor area in Pasay City to Taguig via Fort Bonifacio. On opening, this section will have three lanes in each direction and will enable about 8,000 vehicles to easily cross in half that time,” Villar said.

The P1.6-billion flyover is expected to divert traffic from the Sales Interchange near Villamor interchange and ease congestion on the east and west service roads of SLEX as well as traffic volume along EDSA.

“We are committed to pursuing the completion of the remaining sections of the Cavitex C5 Link expressway under the Build!Build! Build! Program of the President,” Villar added.

Once completed, the C5 South Link will provide motorists an alternate route when crossing the cities of Parañaque, Las Piñas, Pasay, and Taguig in the south portion of Metro Manila.
