Remember the driver who seemingly channeled the violent video game Grand Theft Auto (or GTA) and rammed several vehicles in Manila last May while fleeing authorities – not to mention irate people? If you don’t, watch HERE.
The man met a tragic end as he was killed in a shootout in Imus City, Cavite on Wednesday.
In a report by The STAR, Frankie Serrano was killed at his hideout following an alleged shootout with policemen around 6:30 p.m.
Cavite Police said that elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group along with the police regional officer were about to serve an arrest warrant to Serrano when the suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and opened fire.
Serrano, who was a leader of a criminal group, bumped into several vehicles along Nagtahan Bridge in Manila last May before fleeing and disappearing.
A task group was also formed by the Manila Police District to investigate the case of two missing Grab drivers linked to Serrano. – With Emmanuel Tupas/STAR
