Public utility vehicles that will be used as shuttle services by private companies during the two-week modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) will no longer have to apply for a special permit (SP).
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) says that these commissioned PUVs only have to present an authorization letter or a letter of intent indicating their routes. This will be used as proof that the PUV will be used as shuttle service.
The LTFRB will release today a list of operators and contact numbers to help private companies source their shuttle service needs.
