The Philippines International Motor Show is back

It’s all systems go as the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) is once again holding the Philippine International Motor Show or PIMS. Returning after a four-year hiatus, PIMS 2022 brings together the country’s biggest auto manufacturers and distributors in a venue to showcase their latest vehicles and cutting-edge technologies.

Now on its 8th edition, PIMS 2022 will have the theme, “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good.” As such, the 13 top automotive brands will introduce and preview innovations that will provide safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility to Filipinos.

PIMS brings together the country’s top automotive brands such as BMW, Chery, Foton, Geely, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota under one roof.

The return of PIMS is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of the motoring industry players which have been adjusting to the needs of consumers relative not just to the impacts of the pandemic, but as well as the once-in-a-lifetime shift in global mobility thanks to CASE or Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric.

Throughout the years, CAMPI has remained steadfast in its commitment to push the automotive industry forward by working with the government and the private sector alike in creating policies, programs, and other activities that not only maximize the industry’s role in the country’s economic growth and development, but also provide mobility solutions that cater to the ever-changing needs of Filipinos.

This year, Bank of the Philippines Inc. (BPI) will be the exclusive auto financing partner and diamond sponsor of the motor show. Serving as the official mobility partner, Foton will be providing three Modernized Jeepneys as shuttle service during the 4-day event. From 10 AM to 7 PM, the shuttles will ferry guests free of charge between two pickup points: World Trade Center and the SMX Convention Center.

“We aim to unite and drive our collective towards a united mission of building a better and more sustainable future for Filipinos through mobility. We will accomplish this by coming together to showcase the positive impact of sustainable and future-ready innovations on our day-to-day lives,” said Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) President Atty. Rommel Gutierrez.

Aside from exclusive car launches and displays, spectators and guests of the motor show can look forward to test driving some of the latest vehicles in the market from participating brands.

In addition, aftermarket retail booths will offer parts and even on-site installation services, and several car clubs will hold car meets during the duration of the show. Showgoers can also participate in a wide variety of family activities prepared to make the 8th edition of PIMS an enjoyable experience for everyone.

The 8th Philippine International Motor Show will be held from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Tickets can be purchased at the venue for P 200 each, with the first 1,000 ticket buyers getting a 50 percent discount every show day. Gates open from 10 AM to 8 PM.
