Along with the details of the Ford Bronco, Ford Philippines also shared more deets with the upcoming 7th generation Ford Mustang. It will come in 2 fastback versions namely the EcoBoost Premium at PHP 3,499,000 while the higher GT Premium is at PHP 3,999,000.
Apart from the updated styling, a huge change this time around is the signature Magneride Damping System of the V8 model. It’s now also available for the EcoBoost variant, giving it better ride comfort and increased performance.
The 2.3 EcoBoost engine makes 319 horses and 475 Nm of torque, while the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 puts out 493 horsepower and 567 Nm of pull. Both are mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic that sends power to the rear wheels. It’s joined by features like AdvanceTrac with Stability Control, 4-channel ABS, Brembo disc brakes, and the much loved Active Valve Exhaust. There’s also 6 drive modes to choose from – Normal, Sport, Slippery, Track, Drag Strip, and Custom.
As before, the Mustang pairs its performance prowess with a tech-filled cabin. There’s a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charger, Magnesium frame for the 13-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen package. The seats are still leather-trimmed RECARO.
Ford Co-Pilot360 takes care of the Mustang’s safety side. It has Adaptive Cruise with Stop and Go and Lane Centering, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Lane Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist, and Post Impact Braking among others. There’s also FordPass Connect allowing the Mustang to have additional features like Remote Engine Start/Stop, Lock/Unlock, Vehicle Locator and more.
The all-new Ford Mustang will be available in 7 colors – Iconic Silver, Race Red, Shadow Black, Oxford White, and Vapor Blue. The GT Premium has exclusive shades in Grabber Blue and Yellow Splash.
