Last Wednesday, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, the official importer and distributor of BMW vehicles in the Philippines, launched its first-ever BMW i4 M50 – a high-performance fully electric grand coupe. The model follows the recent launch of the BMW i4 eDrive35 last January, and now offers the public another German branded 4-door electric vehicle with a generous driving range of 520 km, alongside an extra-meticulously crafted cabin, only using premium materials (and also vegan, mind you!).
BMW’s M series was originally conceived as a means to homologate BMW’s racing cars for competition. But the M series quickly evolved into a line of high-performance road cars designed to deliver unparalleled driving dynamics and excitement. With its roots tracing back to the iconic BMW M1 from the late 1970s, the M series has since expanded to encompass a more diverse range of models—from coupes and sedans to SUVs, and now even electric vehicles!

The BMW i4 M50 carries dual electric motors on its front and rear axles; and combined with its M-specific chassis technology, it offers aspirational driving dynamics with a combined output of 544hp. The model also utilizes BMW’s fifth generation eDrive technology, which synergizes the electric motor, power electronics and the car’s transmission to deliver cutting-edge efficiency.
This EV is able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds! Stop and mentally digest that for a second. That’s thanks to a whopping 795 Nm of torque!
Inside the i4 M50 are M sport seats, upholstered in Black Vernasca Leather with sporty blue stitching. Complementing the design is an M Anthracite Rhombicle aluminum interior trim. The steering wheel is wrapped in M leather as standard.

The BMW i4 M50 is priced at Php 5,990,000 and comes with a comprehensive 5-year BMW Warranty, a 6-year BMW Service Inclusive package, and an 8-year high voltage battery warranty. Customers will receive a BMW Wallbox charger, which will be installed by a BMW i partner in their home.
