UAAGI announces official distributorship of Chinese-Swedish auto brand Lynk & Co in PH

United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), an 18-year stalwart in the Philippine auto industry and distributor of Foton and Chery automobiles, announced last Monday at a press conference held at the Ayala Museum in Makati CBD its official distributorship of upmarket global car brand Lynk & Co in the Philippines.

Guests from the media, banking, as well as dealer principals were treated to a glimpse of Lynk & Co Philippines’ future-forward product lineup with the unveiling of two stunning models: the P2,400,000 01 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) SUV and the P1,500,000 06 non-hybrid SUV.

The Ayala Museum, renowned for its stunning collection of artworks, provided a fitting backdrop for these vehicles. Lynk & Co’s elegant Scandinavian design and distinguished aesthetics were perfectly complemented by the museum’s atmosphere. The sleek lines and modern features of the crossovers blended seamlessly with the museum’s ambience, leaving a lasting impression that these Lynk & Co models are more than just automobiles – but indeed works of art.

“We introduce Lynk & Co Philippines to the local market with much excitement and positivity, knowing that this brand affords Filipinos the opportunity to drive home a premium, global vehicle that ticks all the right boxes in terms of design aesthetic, safety, and modern connectivity,” says Froilan Dytianquin, UAAGI Group Managing Director and Lynk & Co Philippines Brand Head.

Lynk & Co is a joint venture between the Volvo Car Group and the Geely Auto Group and, as such, benefits from the strengths of both automotive powerhouses. Most notably, Lynk & Co vehicles are designed and built using advanced architectural platforms such as CMA, SEA, and BMA. These platforms allow for model scalability and adaptability in light of new energy solutions, such as translation of Lynk & Co’s designs to accommodate new electric vehicle technologies.

“Lynk & Co not only elevates UAAGI’s entire auto brand portfolio, but also allows us to cater to a wider audience of Filipino motorists and their discerning tastes and preferences. We believe Lynk & Co Philippines perfectly complements UAAGI’s existing offerings, providing Filipinos with a wider range of modern, stylish, safe, high-quality automotive choices,” says UAAGI Chairman Rommel L. Sytin.

Lynk & Co Philippines’ display is located at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, where test drives of the newest Lynk & Co vehicles will be made available.
