The most powerful Porsche Cayenne is now in the Philippines with 729HP

Those looking for a luxury performance SUV that’s greener but not ready to dive in the all-electric market will find a home in Porsche. The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is now available in the Philippines and will certainly leave a smile on your face once you experience it. This plug-in hybrid is available in a contemporary SUV body or the sleeker coupé form.

At first glance, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid looks like the others in its range. That is until you realize the front fascia has larger air intakes and what they call air blades for the engine. It also has the same Matrix LED headlights from the standard Cayenne. Move to its quarter angle and you’ll see the massive almost-neon green brake calipers. The same shade of green is the silhouette of the side emblems and rear nameplate. Also distinct are the quad-exhausts at the back.

The powertrain received the bulk of improvements for the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Its re-tuned 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is paired to an upgraded 130 kW electric motor that has a combined output of 729 horses and 950 Nm of pull. It can go from 0 to 100kph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 295 kph.

The electric motor is also complemented by a 25.9 kWh high voltage battery that allows the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid an all-electric range of 82 kilometers. Charging is around 2.5 hours with the on-board 11kW charger if used with suitable wall chargers or charging stations.

Another major improvement is in the suspension. They went from 3-chamber to 2-chamber, 2-valve adaptive air suspension that’s now standard for the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. It gives the Cayenne more damping ability without sacrificing performance. What’s more, you can now adjust the suspension’s rebound and compression separately to find your preferred ride response. This is supported by Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus for improved cornering, while Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, as well as Rear-Axle Steering are available as options.

The cabin has adapted the improvements done on the standard Cayenne. This includes the curved digital gauge cluster, a massive screen at the center of the dash for shared connectivity and vehicle controls, while the front passenger has their own screen with its own system and apps. This rightmost screen isn’t visible from the driver’s side to not distract the driver. Other notable amenities include a 4-zone climate control and 15-watt wireless charger with air conditioning, and Burmeister sound system.
