Ford dresses up the Territory with new Sport trim

Following the steps of the Everest and Ranger, the Ford Territory now has a new Sport variant. Ford Philippines seemed to have switched their game plan with the said trim this time around as it sits on the top of the Territory’s lineup, while their SUV and pickup have it in the middle of their range. It’s priced at P1,625,000 or just P26,000 more than the Titanium X and comes in Crystal Pearl White as seen in the photo above, Lustrous Grey, and Panther Black.

The new Ford Territory Sport builds on the Titanium X, only with revised aesthetics. It removed the flat silver and chrome touches of the other variants and traded them for a gloss black finish. It can be seen on the front bumper, side fairings, the wheels, side mirrors, rear bumper, roof rails, even its name badge on the tailgate. This gives the Ford Territory a more menacing appeal no matter the color you choose.

Ford also mixed up their approach with the cabin of the Territory Sport. There are more black materials especially on the dashboard, seats, pillars, and headliner. White has become an ice breaker this time around, providing a nice contrast to the darker interior. Highlighting all the nice curves of the Territory’s cabin is a bright orange stitching and piping.

All the features and amenities from the Territory Titanium X are carried over in this Territory Sport. That includes the panoramic screen for the gauge and infotainment touchscreen, wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-camera system, Active Park Assist, and Advanced Driver Assist features among others.

Powering this blacked-out beauty is the same 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that makes 160 PS and 248 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed transmission. It received a new Remote Start feature using the key fob while retaining its Auto Start-Stop technology, 4 Driving Modes, and the rotary electronic shifter.

“The New Territory Sport is a welcome addition to our Territory line-up in the Philippines especially to our customers looking for a sporty and stylish small SUV. It takes the Territory’s modern design and styling up a notch, with unique exterior and interior accents matched by a smooth, technology-enhanced driving experience,” said Mike Breen, Managing Director, Ford Philippines.

The new Ford Territory Sport is now available in Ford dealerships nationwide. Customers who will buy a 2024 unit this May will be given the 5-star Care Package that includes 5-Year Free Scheduled Service Plan, 5-Year Free Roadside Assistance, and the 5-year vehicle warranty for the car.
