Limited Vespa Primera S Special Edition released locally

Vespa is locally making available a special edition of its Primavera model – a line that is said to stand for youth, innovation, agility, technology dynamism, and environmental friendliness.

In a release, Vespa Philippines says that the “Primavera is a modern bike, inheriting the freshness and joie de vivre of its progenitor.”

The Primavera S Special Edition (SE) is similarly powered as its brethren by a one-cylinder, four-stroke 150cc or 125cc iGet engine. This is air-cooled and equipped with electronic injection and three-valve distribution. For the added convenience of riders, the S has a USB port for the charging of a phone, tablet, or small electronic device.

This Vespa model bears a dark grey shield edge, crest, rims, tie, rear and front light frames – along with sporty stickers contrasting with the color of the body. The boldness of the vehicle is stressed by features such as the black saddle with orange stitching and the orange horn cover.

The SE is available in two exclusive colors, Orange Tramonto (glossy) and Grey Stile (matte).

“Vespa is a lifestyle brand, more than just a motorcycle or a scooter. (It appeals to the) yuppies who can afford to buy a Vespa instead of a normal motorcycle, but our market is really diverse especially now in light of the traffic situation,” said Autohub VP for public relations and marketing Owee Cruz to WHEELS.PH. “It’s hard not to consider a Vespa anymore. (Even) those who are aged 40 and above are already interested. And Vespas are safe as they are scooters, and there’s a stepboard.”

The Vespa Primavera S SE has 12-inch wheel rims made of aluminum alloy and bear a five-spoke design. This gives greater stability, improved safety and better handling. It has LED front and rear lamps, LED daytime running light, an anti-theft system (immobilizer), and ABS front disc brake.
