Lamborghini marks new milestone as it builds 10,000th Urus super SUV

A mere two years after arriving in showrooms, the 10,000th Lamborghini Urus super SUV rolled off the manufacturer’s iconic Sant’Agata, Bolognese assembly line.

Lamborghini first presented the Urus in December 2017. When it went into production the model contributed significantly to the increase in Automobili Lamborghini sales. In 2019 alone, or the first full year during which the Urus was sold, 4,962 examples of the super SUV were delivered to customers worldwide.

The Urus bearing chassis number 10,000, destined for Russia, comes in the brand’s new Nero Noctis Matt (black) color, which is then complemented by a carbon-fiber package and a two-tone Lamborghini Ad Personam interior rendered in black and orange — also accented by carbon-fiber trim.

Starting in June, available to the super SUV is a new color collection called Urus Pearl Capsule featuring two-tone exteriors of ultra-bright pearlescent shades which are in line with Lamborghini’s color tradition. In Urus Pearl Capsule look, Giallo Inti (yellow), Arancio Borealis (orange) and Verde Mantis (green) are combined with a glossy black roof, rear diffuser, spoiler lip and other details. The Urus Pearl Capsule comes as an option for 2021 models and is offered together with a wide range of other colors and new features, like sporty matte gray tailpipes and 23-inch high-gloss black rims with body-color accents.

Alongside enhanced standard and optional equipment, Urus owners are also able to unlock their personality even more as they get a selection of interior customization options via the Ad Personam program.

Automobili Lamborghini in 2017 prepared for the launch of the Urus — its third model — by doubling its headquarters’ site area from 80,000 sqm to 160,000 sqm. Manifattura Lamborghini, the assembly line dedicated entirely to the super SUV, is based on the Factory 4.0 model which establishes a new production process benchmark characterized by modularity, flexibility and maximum personalization.

In 2019, a paint shop dedicated entirely to the Urus was opened by Lamborghini. The new paint shop is characterized by the further evolution of the Factory 4.0 model as it boasts of AI technologies.

The 2021 Urus offers the richest level of standard equipment in technology, safety and ADAS, including up to 12 different standard features plus the heads-up display. Other improvements include the exclusive new key design and the updated optional Parking Assistance Package with state-of-the-art Intelligent Park Assist. At the push of a button, this system allows the car to park itself by managing steering, throttle and brake for automatic parallel and perpendicular parking. Optional equipment includes a new premium Sensonum sound system that features a 730W amplifier and 17 speakers.
