Mutt Motorcycles officially opens showroom in Clark

Mutt, a British motorcycle company that began as a custom maker of high-end bikes, arrived on our shores last year thanks to the United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). It’s the same business that sells Foton and Chery vehicles in the Philippines, and it’s now selling classic-looking motorcycles to Filipinos.

And now, UAAGI officially opens the first Mutt Motorcycles showroom in Clark Global City Pampanga.

Located, at Gas Retail Plaza, Udenna Avenue corner 2nd Street, Clark Global City, Pampanga, the Mutt Motorcycles showroom is right at the heart of the developing area near the Clark International Airport. It’s near the SCTEX Clark South exit, housed within the Petron fuel station.

“We’re thrilled to welcome British bike lovers to the first official MUTT Motorcycles showroom here in Clark. These new bikes will bring a unique and fun new dimension to two-wheeled mobility-MUTT Motorcycles is nothing less than a game-changer in the Philippine motorcycling scene,” exclaimed Errol Duenas, President of United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), the official exclusive distributor of MUTT Motorcycles in the Philippines.

Attended by UAAGI executives and a handful of members of the motoring media, the new Mutt Motorcycles showroom houses the British brand’s lineup of small displacement, retro-looking bikes that have been gaining traction among Filipino riders. The company has opened the floor for test drives, too, allowing attendees and future customers to experience what these British-retro-designed bikes are all about.

The Mutt Motorcycles lineup is populated by various two-wheeled vehicles built in differing fashions. There’s the Universal Japanese Motorcycle (UJM)-looking Mutt GT-SS that I tested before, as well as the dirt-loving Mutt Akita, sporting a huge gasoline tank that’s reminiscent of old Moto Guzzi V-twin bikes. The Mutt Razorback has got to be the attention-grabbing model of the bunch as the supposed trail-ready bike stands out among the crowd with its tall riding height. The Mutt Hilts also caught my eye with its military-inspired styling.

The Mutt lineup consists of two types – 125cc and 250cc. Of note, Mutt Motorcycles are powered by a version of Suzuki GN motors. Completely bespoke to one’s preferences, Mutt bikes are made with top-shelf quality.

The Mutt Motorcycles lineup ranges from P185,000 to P270,000, depending on the model and motor size.

That said, Mutt motorcycles aren’t devoid of modern niceties despite their retro look. They are all equipped with Delphi fuel injection, TIG-welded stainless steel, rear gas shocks, CNC-machined fork caps, aluminum pegs, exhaust heat shield, and ABS.

UAAGI said that branches in Metro Manila are currently under construction, with the flagship showroom set to rise at the Estancia Mall in Mandaluyong. The other Mutt showroom to rise this year will be located at the SM Mall of Asia right across Ikea.
