Honda launches HR-V RS, previews all-new BR-V at PIMS 2022

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) highlights its safety and advanced technology at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). With the theme, “Joyful, Safer World,” Honda’s exhibit featured the official market launch of the top-trim HR-V RS as well as the preview of the highly anticipated BR-V.

The latest addition to Honda’s bestselling compact crossover, the HR-V RS comes decked in sportier garb befitting the RS badge as well as additional comfort and safety features.

Exterior-wise, the HR-V RS features a sporty chrome grille with an RS emblem and a red “Amp Up” logo on the lower bumper. It also gets bigger 18-inch alloy wheels in an RS Gray design, and for the first-time LED sequential turn signal indicators. At the back, it gets a smoked LED light bar and a gloss-black chrome bumper. On the side, it gets a side sill garnish accented in chrome and gloss black.

On the inside, the HR-V RS has sports pedals as well as red stitching on its leather steering wheel, shift knob, and seats. It also adds Variable Gear Ratio for its steering rack for enhanced steering responsiveness and agility. Comfort and convenience features are also up with an 8-way powered driver’s seat, front auto up/down power windows, dual zone climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.

For safety, the HR-V RS adds two additional airbags (a total of six) and Honda’s LaneWatch Camera. This is on top of other safety features found in other HR-V variants including Honda SENSING whose front-facing, wide-view camera system gives it advanced safety and driver assist functionalities.

Under the hood, the HR-V RS boasts 177hp and 240Nm of torque from its turbocharged 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo engine. This engine comes paired with a CVT gearbox with three driving modes: ECON, Normal, and Sport.

The all-new Honda HR-V RS comes in three colors: Ignite Red Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl and Premium Opal White Silver Pearl. It’s priced at Php1,739,000.

Further providing excitement at Honda is the official Philippine preview of the all-new 7-seater BR-V. Since its 2016 introduction, the BR-V has enjoyed warm market acceptance and has become one of HCPI’s bestselling models.
