Subaru showcases refreshed Evoltis SUV

Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru in the Philippines has launched the refreshed 7-seater Evoltis SUV. Joining the Forester GT Edition at MIAS, the largest production Subaru vehicle ever gains a bolder new look, more convenience features, and enhanced safety features for 2023.

The Evoltis receives a new front fascia that incorporates a more prominent grille, redesigned LED headlights, and more aggressive front bumper. The new bumper also sports new lower-edge air ducts to improve aero flow underneath. At the back, updated Konoji or C-shaped taillights further exemplify the fresh look.

Inside, the Evoltis gains a tablet-style 11.6-inch full HD center information display putting it in line with other Subaru models. The display integrates direct touch controls for functions such as climate, multimedia, and vehicle settings. New for 2023 is a Cabin Connect feature that improves communication from the driver or front passenger to the third-row occupants. When activated, the feature picks up the driver or front passenger’s voice by the overhead console microphone and then transmits through the rear speakers. Speaking of the speaker system, the 2023 Evoltis retains its Harman Kardon sound system.

Other standard creature comfort features include wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, steering responsive headlights with high beam assist, a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, and panoramic moon roof.

For the Philippine market, the sole Evoltis Touring variant retains its second-row Captain’s Seats configuration for a 2+2+3 seating configuration. This includes its 19 cup holders.

Powering the 2023 Evoltis is a turbocharged 2.4-liter Boxer engine making 260 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque. This is paired to a high-torque Lineartronic CVT driving all four wheels via Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.

In terms of safety, the 2023 Evoltis gains the latest-generation Subaru EyeSight system. The enhanced system operates more smoothly and under a greater range of conditions. These improvements are thanks to a wider field of view, updated control software, and the addition of an electric brake booster. An additional wide-angle monocular camera works together with the dual-camera EyeSight system. The additional camera further expands the field of view to recognize pedestrians and bicycles sooner when the vehicle enters an intersection at low speed. EyeSight gives an alert to the driver, and, when necessary, applies brakes to avoid collisions with crossing bicycles and pedestrians.

Other safety features include a 360-degree camera with built-in washers, blind spot detection with lane change assist, and rear-cross traffic alert.

The 2023 Subaru Evoltis 2.4 Touring EyeSight is priced at P3,780,000 or P300,000 more than the previous model. It’s now available for reservations at all authorized Subaru dealerships nationwide.
