This September, join a team of adventurers (and their outfitted vehicles) as they embark on an epic 20-day journey to circumnavigate the Philippines from September 24 to October 13, 2023, creating authentic and original content that will not only showcase their adventures but highlight the beauty of the country through the people they meet and places they visit.
Organized by Mototesto Overland Equipment in association with Petron Philippines and FastCat, this epic adventure will formally kick-off with a 4×4 parade in Pasig City that will allow the participants to meet and greet their colleagues, sponsors and the media.
The convoy will then flag off from KM. 0 in Luneta, Manila on Sept. 22, 2023 before making its way to Davao City via Mindoro, Panay Island, Negros Occidental and Oriental then taking the Eastern seaboard to Laoag City via Samar, Leyte, Bicol Region, Central Luzon, and Cagayan Valley. The expedition will officially close in Manila by way of Lingayen Gulf.
The trip will cover a total distance of approximately 6,500 kilometers, passing through more than half the provinces of the Philippines and taking the adventurers past numerous scenic wonders such as the Linao Cave in Guijan, Eastern Samar and the Bluewater Falls and Cave in Baggao, Cagayan. The trip will also include six (6) FastCat RoRo crossings.
To capture this once in a lifetime adventure with the hopes of sharing it to others, The Great Philippine Overland Loop will be documented by an onboard production team who will aim not only to capture every memorable moment, but to highlight as well the stunning uniqueness of each destination. These will then be compiled, and presented, via a coffee table book, a website, and a 4-part, YouTube (20 min. episode) series.
Using these materials, we hope to share the breathtaking beauty of the Philippines and the heartwarming hospitality of the Filipino to local and foreign tourists alike.
We hope that this one-of-a-kind adventure will inspire enthusiasts, future adventurers, including local and foreign tourists to visit, explore, and experience the Philippines through overlanding.
