BMW PH announces third EV-ready dealership

In a significant move towards advancing the adoption of electric mobility in the Philippines, BMW Philippines has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure at the Autoallee BMW dealership in Quezon City. This development marks the third official BMW EV dealership in the country, joining RSA Motors Greenhills and RSA Motors Libis. This demonstrates the brand’s commitment to providing premium electric mobility solutions to the local market.

The Autoallee BMW EV dealership has invested in five AC chargers and one DC fast charger to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Philippines. These charging stations are aimed at providing convenient and efficient charging solutions for BMW electric vehicle owners. To ensure top-notch servicing and support, BMW i technicians are available at the facility to offer comprehensive maintenance and assistance.

Spencer Yu, President of SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp, expressed the company’s vision for a greener future, stating, “We aim to advance the market’s shift towards greener mobility by allowing more dealer partners to offer our electric vehicles and solutions. This provides a convenient opportunity for discerning and environmentally-conscious consumers to experience the full BMW electric vehicle lineup.”

In the Philippines, BMW offers three exceptional electric vehicles – the iX3, iX, and i7. The BMW iX3 serves as the entry-level EV in the lineup and is essentially a BMW X3 compact crossover with a combustion engine-free design. Utilizing a DC fast charger, the iX3 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in a mere 32 minutes.

The BMW iX, a larger electric crossover, boasts two electric motors delivering 326 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. iX owners can recharge their vehicles from 10 to 80 percent in less than 40 minutes when using fast chargers at dealerships.

The flagship of BMW’s electric lineup, the BMW i7, features a dual motor setup capable of producing an impressive 544 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. This electric full-size sedan can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in only 34 minutes using a DC charger.

Clemente Garcia, Chairman of Autoallee BMW, expressed his excitement about this milestone, stating, “This marks a major milestone in our dealership’s history as we eagerly anticipate serving our valued customers in this dynamic market. Introducing BMW electric vehicles is a strategic move that not only encourages us to showcase BMW’s latest innovations but also motivates us to enhance our customer service even further.”

The Autoallee BMW EV dealership, located at Eton Cetris, EDSA, corner Quezon Avenue, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City, invites customers to explore the BMW i lineup and experience the future of mobility firsthand. With this expansion, BMW Philippines is further expanding its footprint in the EV market and contributing to the Philippines’ sustainable transportation goals.
