Porsche Philippines took the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid and the new all-electric Macan on a thrilling road trip to showcase the SUVs’ dynamic performance and highly digitalized cockpits while underlining the range of choices the brand provides customers — from plug-in hybrid (PHEV) to all-electric vehicles, and combustion engines.
In a recent event, the Cayenne E-Hybrid led all-electric Macan 4 models on a trip from Porsche Center Greenhills and traversed stop-and-go traffic on city streets, open expanses of expressways, and winding country lanes to get to a destination that affords a majestic view of the Taal Volcano.

During the drive, the Cayenne E-Hybrid demonstrated its mix of performance, luxury and versatility that makes it the perfect vehicle for any application. Porsche’s full-size PHEV SUV is equipped with a powerful electric motor complemented by a 25.9 kW battery, enabling it to travel up to 90 kilometers on electric power alone.
Paired to the new Cayenne E-Hybrid’s electric motor is a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Combined, the combustion engine and electric motor produce 470 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The output can launch the vehicle from rest to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
While doing this, an adaptive air suspension system guarantees supremely comfortable and controlled ride over any road condition.
Proving just as perfect during the trip were the driving modes of the Cayenne E-Hybrid. This is because when switched to Sport and Sport Plus modes, the battery continues to power the motor until it reaches minimum charge limits — ensuring efficient delivery of power. A revised Hybrid-Auto mode helps enable the vehicle to be driven mostly on electric power, and allows for speeds of over 100 km/h before the combustion engine switches on.

With the Cayenne E-Hybrid, Porsche truly merges in one model its quintessential brand traits of performance, efficiency and everyday usability.
For its part, the new all-electric Macan during the drive displayed the kind of performance that defines Porsche’s sports car DNA.
The Macan 4 is equipped with two Permanent magnet Synchronous Motors (PSM), located on the front axle and rear axle, that deliver 408 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The motors’ combined output allows the Macan 4 to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, guaranteeing exciting responses on the road.
Thanks to a low center of gravity and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring shock absorbers with two-valve technology, the Macan 4 is responsive and has direct steering feel. The adaptive air suspension further ensures this by automatically adjusting ride height and damping characteristics based on driving conditions, resulting in a ride quality that can seamlessly transition between comfort and performance.

With 800-volt technology, the Macan 4 offers fast charging times. When done via a suitable 270-kW DC charging facility, it can charge its battery from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes.
On a full charge, the Macan 4 can travel up to an impressive 613 kilometers (based on WLTP testing). An energy recuperation system can increase driving range on both highways and city roads.
A welcome feature on any trip is the Macan 4’s highly digitalized cockpit featuring the Porsche Driver Experience. Comprising this is an instrument cluster with a 12.6-inch curved display, a 10.9-inch central display, and a 10.9-inch passenger display on which infotainment, navigation, convenience, and vehicle functions can be controlled, viewed, and accessed.
Providing additional information is the communication light that shows the charging status, “greets” passengers as they enter, and can issue warnings.
A low, uniquely sporty seating position, combined with impressive driving dynamics and precise steering, makes the Macan 4 feel and handle like a sports car — proven during the road trip.
