Meet the Tesla Model Y L, their first 3-row 6-seater BEV

Tesla joined “the more, the merrier” crowd last year when they launched the Long wheelbase version of the Model Y in China, hence the Y L designation. It made its regional debut in the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show but unknown to them, it already landed in the Philippines.

The Tesla Model Y L is the first 3-seater from the brand, which is why they made the logo have 2 more slants after the Y. It’s only 179mm longer than the standard Model Y but that’s enough to have ample legroom for the second and new third row.

There are now captain seats on the second row. It has Powered Armrests that sit flush to the base if you don’t want it. The third row has Power Recline, One-Touch folding from the cargo area, and their own air vents. It also has enough headroom despite the sleek roofline of the car. Meanwhile, the first row has Powered Thigh Support and Adjustable Headrests. Only the first 2 rows have Ventilated Seats too.

Other improvements include a center speaker, additional microphones for the 2nd and 3rd row, and an 18+1 speaker system inside the cabin. There’s also up to 2,539 liters of space for your belongings.

The Model Y L is available in a single variant only for now. It has 681km of range, can go 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds flat, and has a top speed of 201 km/h. There’s also All-Wheel Drive thanks to a Dual Motor system and Adaptive Suspension as standard.

The Tesla Model Y L will start selling on April 1, 2026 and has a starting price of PHP 2,849,000. It’s available in an exclusive Cosmic Silver color, while the interior can be had in Zen Gray, setting it apart from the 2-row Model Y. It has a 4-year or 80,000 km vehicle warranty with a separate 8 years or 192,000 km warranty for the battery and drive unit.
