ACMobility flaunts BYD and their end-to-end EV network supremacy in MIAS 2026

Electrified cars, whether battery-electric or plug-in hybrids, will usually come with their own chargers. There’s at least a portable one included, while some will also come with a wall charger that you can install in your home.

ACMobility goes beyond this. Aside from being the distributor for BYD cars nationwide, they are also improving the charging network of the whole country in different ways. They have Greenstrum that installs EV chargers at homes, Power on Wheels that comes to your place to charge your vehicle, a nationwide network of EV Charging Hubs, and EVRO app that lets you find a charging station and pay for it in real-time.

They are also world-record holders. ACMobility, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, started the “Drive Electric. Love Pinas” campaign. An electric convoy led by the BYD Shark 6 driven by adventurer Wil Dasovich travelled the country from north to south, Luzon to Mindanao, in 22 days. It got them 2 Guinness World Record titles – Most cities visited in a continuous journey by a battery electric vehicle (BEV), and Most cities visited in a continuous journey by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

See how that all works with their BYD cars at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. Get to see some of BYD’s popular cars like the Tang DM-i which is their only 7-seater hybrid SUV. The very popular Sealion 6 DM-i is a 5-seater hybrid that has 105 km of pure EV range and more than 1,100 km of combined range. The Sealion 5 DM-i is the more attainable hybrid SUV option, while the Shark 6 DMO is for those who want a pickup with a lot of power but not a gas guzzler.

You will also see the eMAX 7 which is their 7-seater battery-electric MPV that is priced on par with its pure-gasoline rivals. Lastly, the BYD Seagull is there which is a pure EV at under a million pesos.

Now in a sea of electrified cars, what makes BYD’s hybrid DM-i technology stand out is its battery-first approach in propulsion. Yes it still has a combustion engine, but it won’t wake itself up until you are low in charge. You can even set the percentage the car considers itself low in charge. Combine that with regenerative braking and you’ll be in electric power most of the time. This is why their DM-i and DMO cars have up to 39.3% savings vs a pure gasoline car, or 38.3% vs a diesel. Of course this goes even higher when you opt for their battery electric vehicles where you can have up to 87.3% savings vs a diesel car, or 82.9% vs pure gasoline cars.

Learn more about BYD and their technologies at their booth in the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. You can participate in the BYD Tech Quest for exclusive brand merch, or chill in the BYD Café.

You’ll also get to enjoy discounts at the show. Reservations made during the event will be entitled to PHP 10,000 savings upfront, applicable to select models. There will be additional PHP 10,000 on top for both variants of the Sealion 5 DM-i, Sealion 6 DM-i, and Tang DM-i. Meanwhile, additional cash savings of PHP 20,000 on top of the initial PHP 10,000 will be available for Shark 6 Premium.

The transition to electrification is made easy thanks to ACMobility. Apart from their own network of charging solutions, they keep partnering with private establishments like malls and groceries in order to provide more charging points for your electrified vehicles.

You can check out BYD at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. It’s happening at the World Trade Center in Pasay City until Sunday, April 12, 2026. You can also see their cars at the 79 dealerships they have nationwide.
