Aston Martin DBX707 super SUV now in the Philippines

The 2023 Aston Martin DBX707 is now available in the Philippines. It follows the arrival of the standard DBX, which, according to Aston Martin Manila, had three units sold to owners since its arrival last year. With a powerful engine under the clamshell hood and a sporty design in two, the DBX707 is a highly anticipated model by fans and enthusiasts alike.

The DBX707 is the most powerful SUV from the British automaker to date, and it continues to embody the elegance and style of the brand’s DB series.

“A testament to Aston Martin’s dedication to igniting the passion for the ultimate driving experience, the DBX707 is another masterpiece that marries technology with masterful craftsmanship. From its trademark luxurious fittings to the boosted turbo engine, The DBX707 takes our discerning clientele to the next level, and it is an honor for us to bring this to the Philippine market,” said Marc Louie Tagle, Chairman and President of Aston Martin Manila.

Starting with the exterior, the DBX707 features many of the same design elements as other modern DB models, such as the distinctive, large, and aggressive Aston Martin grille, the familiar clamshell hood, and sharp LED headlamps. The front splitter is made of carbon fiber, and there are many details on the sides of the vehicle, such as the wheel air deflectors and rocker panels, that enhance both its performance and style. The side mirrors and the carbon fiber rear spoiler and diffuser also contribute to the vehicle’s aggressive appearance. The DBX707 rides on a set of 22-inch alloy wheels, but a 23-inch set is available as an option.

Stepping inside the DBX707, the use of carbon fiber continues with trim on the digital gauge cluster housing and center console. Most of the soft-touch surfaces are wrapped in leather, as are the seats. There’s a traditional bench-style rear seat that can accommodate three passengers and can be folded down to increase trunk space. The DBX707 also features a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rain-sensing wipers, a push-to-start button, and multiple charging ports in the front and rear.

The DBX707’s attractively styled dashboard features a 10-inch head unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The powerful vehicle is equipped with plenty of safety features, including the Electronic Active Roll Control system to prevent rollovers, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Of note, the DBX707 local unit in Apex Grey color features Phantom Grey seats and is accented with Electron Yellow from the Q Collection. Its sporty appearance is highlighted by yellow brake calipers, black chrome Aston Martin badge, and smoked taillights. The heated steering wheel and front and rear seat ventilation options provide an elevated driving experience. This unit is dealership-configured but can be customized through an indent order for those who desire a personalized touch.

Under the hood, the DBX707 is powered by an AMG-derived 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 707 metric horsepower (hence the name) or 697 brake horsepower and 900Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed wet-type automatic gearbox, and an electronic limited-slip rear differential optimizes power delivery. The vehicle also has a rear-wheel-drive mode, and braking is provided by 420mm front and 390mm rear ceramic discs with six-piston calipers. The air suspension system provides both ride comfort and handling, with improved steering response and body control.

The Aston Martin DBX707 has a starting price of P33,500,000. According to the company, three units are planned to be sold this year.
