The affordable pure electric BYD S1 EV (Yuan EV in BYD China) is now available in the Philippines. Powered by the revolutionary Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate Battery, the S1 EV boasts sporty looks, modern technology, great performance and anxiety-busting range.
The compact all-electric crossover is said to be the best-selling plug-in car of 2019 in China. Within 11 months, BYD sold 66,573 units, including the 30,874 in the first four months of this year.
The S1 EV features ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 40.6kWh which enables an electric range of 300km. It is said to be one of the highest range of an all-electric car in the country. It can sprint from 0-50kmh in just 5.1 seconds and is loaded with a lot of technology:

The S1 EV measures 4,100mm long, 1,785mm wide and 1,680mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,535mm. Powering the S1 EV is a permanent magnet synchronous generator that produces up to 70kW and 180N·m of torque.

A striking recife blue coating coupled with multi-spoke rims renders a younger and sportier side profile. On the tailgate, the typical spare tire still exists, while side-opening design is available for trunk. It comes in Recife Blue, French Red, and Timo white colors.
It also has a full liquid crystal dashboard panel and a 10-inch rotatable carpad at the center console. There are also two USB ports, Bluetooth, AUX, GPS, Radio as well as an HD Video Display and four surround speakers.
