Harley-Davidson of Manila is now 10 years old

Harley-Davidson of Manila, the first authorized dealership of the iconic Milwaukee-based motorcycle brand in the Philippines, is concluding the first half of 2023 with a resounding celebration.

Marking a decade since its inception, the dealership is commemorating its 10th anniversary with a grand event that coincides with Harley-Davidson’s 120 years of heritage and pride. Additionally, the dealership takes pride in celebrating the 10th year of its local riding club, the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Manila Chapter.

Reflecting on a decade of success, Mr. Francis Jonathan C. Ang, President of American Motorcycles, Inc. (AMI), the company behind Harley-Davidson of Manila, expressed his excitement, emphasizing the dealership’s commitment to fulfilling dreams of personal freedom and offering a wide selection of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. With the growing popularity of motorcycle riding among the next generation, the dealership looks forward to ushering in a new era of freedom and passion.

To honor this momentous occasion, Harley-Davidson of Manila is organizing a two-day event on June 24-25 at the Subic Bay Boardwalk. The event aims to bring together customers, Harley owners, and riding enthusiasts who have contributed to the dealership’s success over the years. Attendees can expect a thrilling experience with live music, customer awards, bike displays, dealer test rides, a riding skills exhibition, and a delightful assortment of food and drinks. The festivities will culminate with a captivating fireworks display on the night of the 24th.

Mr. Jay Bautista, AVP/General Manager of Harley-Davidson of Manila, warmly invites loyal customers and motorcycle enthusiasts to join in the celebration, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support throughout the dealership’s 10-year journey.

The dealership has experienced remarkable milestones and achievements over the years. In 2015, just two years after its establishment, Harley-Davidson of Manila received the Asia Emerging Markets (AEM) Best Performance Growth Award. This recognition showcased the dealership’s success in reaching new heights, with the Street XG750 and XG500 models playing a significant role in attracting new riders to the Harley-Davidson cult. These lightweight, nimble, and affordable bikes became a stepping stone for new riders entering the big bike segment.

Building on this success, Harley-Davidson of Manila earned the prestigious Dealer of the Year Award in 2016, surpassing long-standing dealerships in the AEM region. This award highlighted the dealership’s excellence in overall operations, including business growth, customer experience, marketing/events, and management and staff training.

Following two years of exceptional performance, the dealership received approval from AEM to open a second branch in May 2017. Located in the fast-growing business district of Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the new branch at Shangri-La at the Fort made Harley-Davidson more accessible to Manila residents. This expansion was driven by the dealership’s commitment to attract a younger demographic and cater to their modern and vibrant lifestyles. In 2021, Harley-Davidson of Manila BGC won the Best Motorcycle Performance award at the Philippine Dealers Award, further solidifying its reputation.

In addition to the dealership’s milestone, the HOG Manila Chapter, the official sponsored riding club of Harley-Davidson, celebrates its 10th anniversary, aligning with the 40th founding year of the Harley Owners Group. In 2022, the HOG Manila Chapter was honored with the Chapter of the Year award by AEM, triumphing over 30 chapters from 10 countries in the region. The chapter’s dedication to organizing rides, forging partnerships, and engaging in corporate social responsibility activities contributed to this remarkable achievement.

To kick off the celebration, the HOG Manila Chapter and Harley-Davidson of Manila will lead a ride from the Greenhills showroom to HOG Manila Eco Park in Pangasinan on June 23rd. This ride, part of the PH Ride with Purpose program, promotes responsible motorcycle riding and moto tourism to support the local economy.

All riders, regardless of brand and engine displacements, are welcome to join the event at the Subic Bay Boardwalk on June 24th and 25th. The registration fee of Php1,000 provides participants with a food voucher worth Php300 and two drinks, with the remaining proceeds supporting the HOG Manila Chapter’s CSR activities.

As Harley-Davidson of Manila celebrates a decade of achievements and the HOG Manila Chapter marks their 10th anniversary, the dealership looks forward to an unforgettable event that brings together the Harley-Davidson community in the Philippines. With its commitment to personal freedom and passion for motorcycles, Harley-Davidson of Manila continues to inspire riders and enthusiasts across the nation.
