Last February 21, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) held its 2024 Dealer Conference at Okada Manila in Pasay City. The objective of this annual conference is to recognize and bring pride to specific dealers who exhibit excellence in their sales and after-sales operations each year. Additionally, top performing Honda personnel are also given individual recognition.
HCPI aims for the ceremony to serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for all Honda employees, encouraging them to persevere in their diligent efforts and strive for continuous improvement in their service to customers.
Bagging this year’s much-coveted Dealer of the Year Award was Honda Cars Marcos Highway, which struts the Marikina-Infanta Highway within the bounds of Barangay dela Paz in Pasig City. The dealership finally earned the big title after its consistent ascent from winning 3rd place in 2021 and 2nd place in 2022, in the same overall category.
Honda Cars Marcos Highway opened last April 2021 and is a meticulously run, 2,200 sq.m. property with 10 service bays. Its bestsellers in this particular location are the Honda BRV, Honda City, and the Honda Brio.
Honda Cars Marcos Highway also dominated the conference with a slew of other special awards such as Sales Achiever in Metro Manila; Volume Seller in Metro Manila; Best in Units in Operation Sales; Top Seller of the Honda City Hatchback; Top Seller of the Honda BRV; Service Intake Achiever in Metro Manila; the Most Improved Dealer in Parts Retail Sales; Parts Wholesale Achiever; Best in After-Sales Operations; and Parts Manager of the Year. It is run by the Gateway group of dealerships.
Coming in as first runner up for the Dealer of the Year title was Honda Cars Fairview, a dealership that transferred its location to the Neopolitan Business Center and opened its doors in the new site on March 2023. It is the biggest Honda showroom in the Philippines, and the first Honda-Gateway dealership that has its own Gaming Lounge. Honda Cars Fairview is also known to be very active in their tie-ups with many major Honda Car Clubs.
They also take pride in their thoughtful, customer-friendly hubs, which include a Gaming Lounge; a Service Lounge; a Kiddie Corner (yes, a kiddie corner!); and even open and enclosed working areas that can accommodate meetings. They even go as far as carrying their own official Honda Fairview merchandise. That’s pretty impressive and full of personality.
Honda Cars Fairview has also been consistent in acquiring high scores in Honda’s Dealer Customer Service Satisfaction Index (DCSI) and Dealer Customer Sales Satisfaction Index (DSSI). And they took home several other awards, such as Best in Telemarketing Activity; Best in Online Management; Second-best in Aftersales Operations; Second Most Improved Dealer – Parts Retail Sales (Highest percentage increase vs. its 2022 figures); Third place as Most improved Dealer; and Third Parts Retail Sales Achiever.
One can argue that it was in the stars for Honda Cars Fairview to win first-runner up overall this year, after being awarded second runner up at the 2022 Dealer of the Year Conference, and as Dealer of the Year in the 2021 Conference.
Finally, awarded as second runner-up was Honda Cars Alabang. This dealership also won second in Service Intake Achievers, Best in Service Satisfaction Performance, and third in After-Sales Operations. As mentioned earlier, the conference also included various other awards for sales and after-sales performance.
HCPI President, Rie Miyake, shared during the 2024 Dealer Conference, “The future mobility Honda dreams of will create a joy and freedom of mobility that enables people to transcend the constraints of time and place and augment their every possibility. Such mobility will become the ‘power’ for people who are trying to advance towards their own dreams.
