Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., announced today the winning of prestigious safety-related awards in various categories at the ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program) Grand Prix Awards 2024, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Among these awards is the Honda CR-V being recognized for Best Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and the Honda Civic for Best Sedan. Furthermore, Honda also excelled in two (2) other categories that exemplifies Honda’s commitment to safety and a collision-free mobile society in the ASEAN region: Consistent 5-Star Ratings Across All Models and Most 5-Star Ratings (2021-2023).
The 6th Generation CR-V bagged the Best Safety Performance in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) where it achieved the highest score. Notably, the previous model also won major awards in ASEAN countries: the Consistent 5-star in ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award 2018 and the Best SUV in Child Occupant Protection (COP) in Crash Worthiness Performance 2018.
Meanwhile, the 11th Generation Civic continues to dominate in its class, being selected as the Excellence Award Best Sedan of the year based on its overall safety performance score. Various sedans were evaluated in categories such as Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS). In the end, the Honda Civic emerged on top, making it the best car compared to other sedans.
Apart from the recognition of the Honda CR-V and Civic, Honda received two (2) more Excellence Awards for other models. These awards include “Consistent 5-Star Ratings Across All Models (2021-2023)” and the “Most 5-Star Ratings (2021-2023)” which were granted to key models that are available in the Philippines: BR-V, Civic, CR-V and HR-V.
These awards show Honda’s dedication in providing the safest vehicles and achieving the company’s goal of zero fatalities in traffic accidents involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles worldwide by 2050. Honda will stay true to its commitment to further improving the safety and comfort of driving Honda vehicles.

The ASEAN NCAP collision tests are conducted as a collaboration between ASEAN NCAP and the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI).
