The 2023 Triumph Street Triple has finally arrived in the Philippines, and for now, the Street Triple RS is the only available variant in the country. This latest generation Street Triple 765 RS, which boasts the highest ever specification Brembo Stylema brakes, revised geometry for more agility, and the most powerful Street Triple ever, sets a new performance benchmark with a category-leading 130PS of thrilling triple power, thanks to Moto2 race engine-derived upgrades.
The 765 RS features a significantly updated, class-defining 765cc engine that incorporates learnings taken directly from the Moto2 race engine program, making it more performance-focused and characterful than ever. New pistons, con-rods, and gudgeon pins are matched to new, optimized combustion chambers for increased cylinder pressure limit and more power. New valves and camshafts give increased valve lift for improved intake, combustion, and exhaust efficiency, with new gearbox ratios for improved performance and responsiveness.
The RS’s outstanding performance and top-end power have been taken to the next level, with all three models benefiting from the same usable torque low down in the rev-range and all the way through the mid-range, with a notable increase from 7,500rpm onwards. The gearbox has been revised to include shorter gear ratios for faster acceleration, making it the most responsive Street Triple ever. Together with a new final drive ratio, the Street Triple is now sharper, livelier, and more responsive than ever.
The new exhaust system with increased flow rate and a new sporty single-sided silencer delivers the Street Triple’s renowned and distinctive hair-raising sound. The Street Triple RS is said to benefit from the new generation’s more focused and commanding riding position, thanks to the new 12mm wider handlebars.
Moreover, the bike features revised geometry with a steeper rake and a raised back end for nimble, faster turning. The improvements sacrifice none of the confidence-inspiring attributes that the Street Triple has become renowned for, with an accessible seat height of 836mm on the Street Triple RS. A new accessory low seat option can be fitted to reduce the height by a further 28mm on all models, with an additional lowering of 10mm offered to the RS.
For racetrack-capable braking performance, the Street Triple RS comes fitted as standard with top-spec Brembo Stylema 4-piston radial monobloc front calipers with twin 310mm floating discs. A matching Brembo MCS span and ratio adjustable lever gives even more control and finesse, while a Brembo single-piston sliding caliper keeps things in check at the rear. Linked brakes provide the perfect balance of front-to-rear braking for improved stability and reduced stopping distances.
Complementing the Street Triple’s groundbreaking chassis design, top-quality suspension components from Showa and Öhlins have been carefully selected to suit each model. All are fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound. The Street Triple RS also comes equipped with top-specification Showa 41mm upside-down big piston forks and an Öhlins piggyback reservoir rear shock.
High-performance Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires come fitted as standard to the Street Triple RS. These offer racetrack levels of grip and outstanding high-speed stability, all from a fully road-legal tire.
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple RS is the perfect performance naked sports set-up, with new technology, new high-specification components, and the most agile Street Triple chassis to date, together with the optimum weight and balance, making it the best handling ever.
The 2023 Street Triple 765 RS’s new sporty and aggressive design is complemented by a new full LED lighting system. The bike is available in three color options, with the corresponding prices: Silver Ice (P845,000), Carnival Red (P857,000), and Cosmic Yellow (P857,000).
