Kia Philippines is expanding its EV lineup with a sneak peek of the all-new EV5 electric crossover at the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit 2025. This follows up on the EV6 and EV9, as it aims to be one of the automaker’s most affordable fully electric offerings in the Philippines.
The EV5 currently on display does not reflect the final specifications, with an official SRP, full specs, and features to be announced during the official launch in the first quarter of 2026.

The Kia EV5 resembles the EV9 in many aspects, down to its “Opposites United” design language, but just shrunken down and simplified. Elements such as its geometric design, Star Map Lighting front and back, and eccentric wheel designs are present.

The interior is also a blend of minimalist and futuristic design, complete with two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and digital gauge cluster, while there is also a dedicated screen for climate controls, with separate physical and capacitive touch controls for other functions.

It also comes with other niceties as leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman/Kardon sound system, a rear tray table for the second-row seating, and a lot of cargo space with a front trunk.
The EV5’s powertrain is capable of producing 217 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, with an 88.1 kWh battery capable of going up to 550km on a single charge, with Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) capabilities and the Kia DriveWise advanced driver assistance systems keeping you safe on the road.
If you want to see the Kia EV5 in the metal, it will be on display until October 25, Saturday, at the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
