New Porsche Taycan Turbo S commands 952 hp, 1,110 Nm oftorque

The new fully electric Porsche Taycan Turbo S sports car is now more powerful and dynamic, thanks to extensive enhancements that elevate its output to 952 hp and 1,110 Nm of torque.

The power increase allows the latest Taycan Turbo S — now available at Porsche Philippines — to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in a staggering 2.4 seconds. This is markedly faster compared to the previous model. A new push-to-pass button unleashes full power for 10 seconds to further boost acceleration.

With the significant gain in power comes a longer driving range of up to 630 kilometers. The new Taycan Turbo S can also charge its battery faster, has a more distinctive design, and offers an expanded list of features.

Taking advantage of the substantial horsepower and torque ratings is the adaptive two-chamber air suspension system.

The adaptive air suspension in the new Taycan Turbo S offers an unprecedented spread between driving comfort and driving dynamics. It keeps the sports car level even during dynamic braking, acceleration, and cornering. Depending on the driving mode selected, it controls excessive forward or backward movements, as well as sideways motions. Plus, the system constantly absorbs impacts and smoothens road imperfections. This capability raises both on-road and track performance.

Improvements made to the new Taycan Turbo S's 800-volt system result in faster charging times. The previous model required around 37 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% via a DC unit. With the latest model, it takes only 18 minutes to achieve the same charge level. This is possible even with a larger battery capacity. The Performance Battery Plus now has a gross capacity of 105 kWh, increased from 93.4 kWh.

The new Taycan Turbo S can also recuperate energy more efficiently. The maximum recuperation capacity during deceleration from high speeds increased by more than 30%, or from 290 kW to a maximum of 400 kW.

Expressing the higher performance level of the new Taycan Turbo S is a more refined and purist aesthetic. The model is defined by fresh styling touches at its front and rear ends, and has added design elements that set it apart from the other Taycan versions. Its headlights, now flatter and edgier, feature high-resolution HD matrix technology and Porsche’s characteristic four-point graphics. Fenders that have been reshaped emphasize the width of the sports car. The Porsche logo in the rear light strip is now three-dimensional.

The redesigned exterior is matched by new cabin features. The new Taycan Turbo S receives the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience, which has improved user interface and additional functions. A configurable display provides information related to the electric powertrain, including battery charge level and temperature, and the status of the charging process. Both Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity features are even more deeply integrated, with numerous displays and functions accessible on the screen.

The changes clearly show Porsche has enhanced the new Taycan Turbo S in every aspect.
