Porsche claimed its 20th outright victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring after Porsche Penske Motorsport secured a one-two finish with the Porsche 963, repeating last year’s result at the endurance classic.
The winning No. 7 Porsche 963, driven by Felipe Nasr, Julien Andlauer, and Laurin Heinrich, finished ahead of the sister No. 6 car of Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor, and Matt Campbell in round two of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The result followed Porsche’s win at Daytona and further strengthened the marque’s lead in both the overall standings and the Michelin Endurance Cup.
After 75 minutes of racing, the No. 6 Porsche 963 moved into the lead before the No. 7 car took over at the front of the 55-car field. Following the last of nine safety car periods, the race ended in a tense 16-minute sprint to the finish, with Nasr ultimately sealing victory ahead of Estre.
Porsche also celebrated success in GTD Pro, where customer teams Manthey and AO Racing finished first and second with the 911 GT3 R. It marked Porsche’s first double class triumph in IMSA competition since 2008. Wright Motorsports added to the strong result with a podium finish in the GTD class, also with the 911 GT3 R.
Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport, said, “We had the right packages with the Porsche 963 in the top GTP class and the 911 GT3 R in the leading GT category. We were fast, the drivers kept their cool, and the teams worked flawlessly – we couldn’t have asked for more.”
The result comes as Porsche celebrates 75 years of Porsche Motorsport, with Sebring once again underlining the strength of both its factory and customer racing programs.
