Chery Auto PH is now a member of CAMPI, set to join PIMS 2022

Chery Auto Philippines, under United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), has announced their acceptance into the prestigious Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines or CAMPI, the premiere organization of the Philippine automotive industry.

By joining CAMPI, Chery Auto PH will be able to work in a partnership with stakeholders of the local automotive industry by having a voice in the formulation of government policies, programs, and standards that will help move the local automotive industry forward.

“We are honored to be accepted as a new member of CAMPI and we are excited to showcase our vehicles in the upcoming Philippine International Motor Show or PIMS. We look forward to working with our industry colleagues in strengthening the local automotive industry to help both the Filipino motoring public as well as Filipinos who work in our manufacturing and assembly plants and dealerships,” declared Chery Auto Philippines/UAAGI Chairman Rommel Sytin.

“And with the passing of SB 1382 into law, we are aiming to assemble electric vehicles locally,” Sytin shared.

Being a member of CAMPI also allows Chery to participate in this year’s highly anticipated Philippine International Motor Show (scheduled on September 15-18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City), where it can showcase to the public its expansive lineup of feature-packed crossovers as well as its state-of-the-art plug-in hybrid and full-electric vehicles in the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV and Chery Arrizo 5e fully electric sedan.

“Chery’s introduction of the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV reinforces our longstanding commitment to bring the benefit of the use of alternative energy more accessible to Filipino motorists. The brand remains steadfast in its vision of providing mobility solutions that are future-proof regardless of uncertain market forces that may affect mobility such as unstable fuel prices—and out PHEV technology is at the core of that solution,” Sytin said.

“On top of enjoying the benefit of pure EV and hybrid technology, it also allows us to lessen our carbon footprint contributing to environmental preservation,” he added.

The bi-annual PIMS missed its 2020 edition due to the pandemic that surged that year. Now in its 8th edition, PIMS 2022 focuses on introducing innovations that will provide safer, more efficient and sustainable mobility to the people with the theme “Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good.” Chery is confident that it has the vehicles that accurately deliver on said theme.

Chery is set to unveil at PIMS 2022 a key new model that will underscore the brand’s technological advancements in design, performance, luxury and comfort. Spectators and guests of the motor show can look forward to test driving Chery’s advanced array of SUVs and crossovers.

Chery Auto Philippines is also aggressively expanding its dealer network to bring Chery and its industry-leading Premium Preserv warranty, PMS and roadside assistance suite of after sales services closer to more Filipinos.
