NLEX Harbor Link’s R-10 Exit Ramp expected to be completed by June 15 – Villar

The NLEX Harbor Link’s R-10 Exit Ramp is expected to be completed by June 15, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced on Sunday.

During his inspection, Villar said that the slab concreting works at the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 is now 100% complete.

“We are glad to announce that another flagship project, the R-10 Exit Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link, is now back on track and is expected to be completed by June 15,” Villar said.

He said that once completed, the Harbor Link project is expected to cut travel time from Quezon City to Manila from two hours to only 10 minutes.

Villar said that the target completion of the R-10 Exit Ramp was initially set earlier but works were suspended for two months due to the enhanced community quarantine.

Segment 10, Exit Ramp to R-10 is a 2.6-kilometer 4-lane elevated ramp that will extend NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 exit to Radial Road 10 (R-10), using C-3 Road as its route.

Once completed, it is expected to provide direct access between the Port Area and the northern provinces of Luzon and reduce travel time from Port Area to NLEX to only just 10 minutes.

The NLEX Corporation has resumed works on the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 R-10 Exit Ramp following new DPWH protocols on construction activities.
