Geely makes the Monjaro EM-i official in the PH

The Geely Monjaro EM-i finally arrived in the Philippines shortly after setting a world-record in Egypt last September. It’s the first in the brand’s local lineup to have their e-AWD drivetrain, has 130 kilometers of all-electric range, 335 horsepower, all for PHP 1,868,000.

The Monjaro has the same silhouette as the Okavango but Geely took things up a notch. There’s a larger front grille with a more imposing design, sleeker headlights, a modern taillight aesthetic, bolder wheels, and a larger panoramic sunroof. It’s a great lesson on design improvement. As for amenities, the exterior gets LED Automatic Headlights, Rear Privacy Glass, Rain-Sensing Wiper, and Powered Tailgate.

It measures 4,800mm long, 1,895mm wide, 1,700mm tall, has a wheelbase of 2,845mm and a ground clearance of 189mm. Not too tall, but humps won’t be a problem as well. Despite its size though, the Monjaro is a 5-seater only.

Moving to the cabin, the Monjaro introduces a more upmarket aesthetic to the Geely lineup. There’s a mountain-range graphic on the dashboard’s passenger side, a minimalist center console, a crystal knob on the rotary dial, diamond-pattern on the seats, leather on most of the contact points, and wood veneers on key visual panels.

The premium look is complemented with modern features as well. There’s an 8-way Power Adjustable Driver’s Seat with Memory, 256-color Ambient Lighting, Heated and Ventilated Front Seats with Massage, Dual Zone Climate Control, 25.6-inch Heads-Up Display, 15.4-inch touchscreen, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 16-speaker FLYME Sound System, and 15w Wireless Charging.

The Monjaro being a better Okavango is applied in the powertrain section as well. It has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor for a combined 335 horses, 667 Nm of torque, and power is sent to all wheels via their e-All Wheel Drive system. There’s also a 29.8 kWh battery that results in an all-electric range of 130 km and combined range of 1,095 km. It’s not too shabby in sprinting too as it can do 0-100 kph in 5.83 seconds.

Safety is also well kitted in this SUV. It has an Advanced Driver Assist System that has Intelligent Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 540-degree Camera System, and Lane Change Assist among others.

Standard safety is aplenty too. There’s a Brake Assist System, Hill-Start Assist, Front, Side, and Side Curtain Airbags, and Geely Traction Control System.

The all-new Monjaro EM-i Luxury is available at an SRP of PHP 1,868,000, in Cloud White, Night Black, Sky Blue and Dawn Gold. You can enjoy its Exclusive Launch Privileges until December 31, 2026. That includes:
