Honda Cars Philippines is celebrating the 30th year of the Honda City here in the Philippines. The model which was launched as a sedan in 1996 has sold more than 150,000 units and had 5 generations here in the country. As part of this commemorative year for the model, they’ve unveiled the “30th Anniversary Pearl Edition” for both the City Sedan and City Hatchback.

The Honda City certainly made its mark in the Philippines as it helped the economy too. The first few generations of the City were locally assembled here until the 2010s, providing jobs to many Filipinos. Meanwhile, the Honda City Hatchback was introduced only in 2021 and quickly dominated its segment.

The City also won various awards in the Philippines over the years. It won the first ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix, Auto Focus Media and People’s Choice Awards, and Best Sub-Compact Car from Car Awards Group in 2023.
The Honda City Pearl Edition Sedan gets subtle touch ups. The Platinum White Pearl paint is accompanied by black accents on the side mirrors, door handles, front grille, and gets black alloy wheels. Of course, this variant gets Honda SENSING technology as well.

For the City Hatchback, things are more youthful. The H logo and City emblem are all black, and get revised styling as well. It has a new Front Under Spoiler, Front Center Garnish, Front Fog Garnish, Tailgate Spoiler Garnish, Extended Rear Bumper, Exhaust Pipe Finisher, and Rear Under Spoiler.

Both City Sedan and City Hatchback Pearl Editions also get an exclusive plate emblem showing they are the 30th anniversary editions. The Honda City Sedan Pearl Edition will retail at PHP 1,039,000 while the City Hatchback Pearl Edition will be at PHP 1,279,000.
