The Toyota Dealer Awards also gave recognition to the efforts of its dealers under its luxury brand, Lexus. We spoke with Lexus Manila Inc. president Carlo Ablaza, who received the Lexus Dealer Achievement Award for his dealership’s numerous achievements, foremost of which is sales leadership in the luxury market segment.

What would you say are the most compelling aspects that have driven more and more Filipino luxury car buyers to the Lexus brand?

I think, today’s Filipino luxury customers seek more than prestige—they value craftsmanship, reliability, and an ownership experience that fits their lifestyle. Lexus delivers this through refined engineering, hybrid innovation, and thoughtful guest care.

The luxury segment has been challenging since last year. How is Lexus addressing this and what can we expect from the brand this 2026?

The market continues to evolve, but Lexus remains focused on taking care of our customers and giving them the best possible guest experience. In 2026, customers can expect the introduction of the improved dynamic Lexus IS and the highly anticipated Full Model Change ES which  further pushes vehicle innovation & electrification. We will continue to deliver exceptional customer service and Luxury vehicles that are highly crafted and well-built which defines our product range.

What are the biggest challenges in achieving and maintaining leadership in the Philippine luxury car market?

While new players continue to enter the luxury market, leadership ultimately comes down to trust. At Lexus, our commitment to craftsmanship, reliability, and a truly exceptional ownership experience is what continues to set us apart.
