GWM has brought in the smaller sibling of their H9 SUV, the new Haval H7. It has the same boxy shape and stance as its big brother but it didn’t stop there. Unlike other electrified SUVs in its segment, GWM put enough bits in the Haval H7 to make it a legit off-roader.
It’s hard to tell it apart from the H9 at first glance, or even second or third. The H7 has the same proportions, but only different measurements. It comes at 4,800mm long, 1,950mm wide, and 1,843mm tall. The HEV and PHEV have 200mm of ground clearance while the top trim has 210mm.

The Haval H7 is available in 3 trim levels for you. The entry one is a hybrid priced at PHP 1,298,888. At the middle is the plug-in hybrid two-wheel drive with a price of PHP 1,548,888 while the top of the line PHEV four-wheel drive is at 1,698,888.

The trim levels also means that each variant has a different power package. All three are accompanied by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. The hybrid produces 247 PS and 540 Nm, the mid-variant PHEV 2WD has 326 PS and 540 Nm, while the PHEV 4WD has 364 PS and 760 Nm thanks to a dual-electric motor setup.

The HEV has a small 1.53 kWh battery, while the PHEVs have 19.09 kWh. This gives them EV only range of 105 km for the 2WD, while the 4WD has 91km. For the drive mode, the PHEV and HEV get Standard, Sport, and Economy while the PHEV 4WD has additional Snow, Sand, Mud, and AWD.
The H7 has a Type2 and CCS2 charging port, Vehicle-to-Load functionality, and “Coffee Space” that lets you select between Nap Mode, Camp Mode, and Immersive Mode.

Unlike the H9, the Haval H7 is a unibody vehicle that has a multi-link suspension at the rear. The 4WD trim has rear-locking differentials while all three are getting a full-sized spare at the back.

The three share a lot of amenities despite having different powertrains and a wide range in pricing. They get Black Chrome front grille, Automatic LED headlights with Levelling, LED Daytime Running Lights, Roof Rails, Power Folding Side Mirrors with Turn Signals, and Rain Sensing Wipers. Only the 4WD gets a Panoramic Sunroof and bigger 19-inch alloy wheels as opposed to the 18-inchers of the other two.

The same story is in the cabin. You’ll get a 12.3-inch screen for the gauge cluster, the center console has a cooling vent, front seats have ventilation, Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, Rear Air Vents, 50w Wireless Charger, 12V socket, 220V power outlet rated at 400w, USB-C and USB-A ports, 15.6-inch touchscreen with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto.
Of course, the 4WD gets a little more. It has additional Heads-Up display, Off-Road Information Display, 8-way Power Adjustable Driver’s Seat with 4-way Lumbar, 4-way Powered Passenger Seat, Reactive Ambient Lighting, Camping Lamp, Rear Window Privacy Shade, 220V socket rated at 2,200w and Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror.

Extensive standard safety features are also shared between the 3 trims. They have 6 Airbags, ABS, Cornering Brake Control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Traction Control System, Rollover Mitigation System, Hill Descent and Hill Hold Control, Electronic Stability Program, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Cruise Control, and a 540-degree View Camera.

Only the PHEV 4WD gets the full suite of Advanced Driver Assist Systems. It has Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Information, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning, and Automatic Crash Unlock among others.
The Haval H7 will be available in Iceberg White, Midnight Black, and Stealth Grey. They will also come with 7-year or 200,000 km warranty, 10-year or 1,000,000 km powertrain warranty, and 8-year warranty on the battery. You’ll also enjoy a PHP 50,000 discount until June 30, 2026.
