The Hyundai CRETA made a return in the Philippines after first gracing our shores back in 2022. Aside from filling the gap between the Hyundai Venue and Tucson, it made itself stand out as the most affordable offering with an N Line badge.
To the uninitiated, Hyundai’s N Line signifies the brand’s sporty side with more excitement, performance, and confidence. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a crossover poised to the young and ambitious. But before we dive into that, let’s take a look at what the new Hyundai CRETA is like.
The modern H treatment

There’s more to the new CRETA than the badge. Up front is a redesigned fascia that features a new Parametric Jewel grille, signature LED lights, and new alloy wheels. It also has Sequential Turn Signals that will certainly capture eyes on the road. The rear also employs H-theme for the taillights while having a more prominent faux diffuser design for a subtle sporty touch.

The cabin also gets a nice makeover. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen are both in 10.25-inch screens housed in a panoramic assembly in front of the driver. The touchscreen has Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in Waze, while under that is an Automatic Climate Control, with the center console more spacious looking thanks to Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold. Also appreciated is the array of buttons under the touchscreen for crucial car controls.
Space is a non-issue with the new CRETA. All occupants have ample room, with front passengers having additional seat ventilation for more comfort. There’s also 433 liters of space at the back that extends to 1,401 liters with the second row folded flat.
Safety is also improved in the new CRETA. It’s now available with Hyundai SmartSense that includes Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and more. There’s also Tire Pressure Monitoring, Hill Start Assist Control, and Stability Control.
CRETA N Line

The Hyundai CRETA is only the second car in Hyundai’s local lineup to have the N Line badge. This is no mere cosmetic package as there are significant changes to this variant.
Let’s start with the engine. The CRETA N Line gets a turbo alongside the 1.5-liter mill that produces 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. It also gets a Traction Mode Select to go along with the boost of performance.

Cosmetically, the CRETA N Line is sportier as well. It has bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-tip exhausts at the rear, and a meaner looking fascia thanks to the honeycomb grille. There’s also a rear spoiler that’s exclusive to it.
Inside it has black leather seats with red accents and pipping, along with a 3-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters. It also has a red ambient mood lamp giving it a more lively vibe.

As for safety, the CRETA N Line gets exclusive dibs on Blind Spot View Monitor and Surround View Monitor on top of the bits that’s already mentioned in the standard CRETA.
The Hyundai CRETA will be available in Slate Blue Pearl, Magnetic Silver, Midnight Black Pearl, and Creamy White Pearl. The N Line gets exclusive 2-tone paint in Shadow Gray, Dragon Red Pearl, and Creamy White all paired to a Midnight Black Pearl Roof.
Pricing for the new CRETA starts at PHP 1,134,000 for the GL IVT, PHP 1,254,000 for GLS IVT, PHP 1,333,000 for the Premium IVT, and the CRETA N Line is priced at PHP 1,379,000. See a Hyundai dealership nearest you to find out more about it and see it in the metal.
