MG showcases 2 new concept cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026

Continuing its global momentum in innovation and electrified mobility, MG has unveiled two exciting concept vehicles at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 in the United Kingdom. The global debut of the MG GO! and MG Cyber Concept offers a glimpse into the brand’s future design direction, combining over a century of British automotive heritage with the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology.

The two concept vehicles represent MG’s vision for the next generation of mobility—one that blends distinctive design, intelligent technology, and engaging driving experiences. Together, they reinforce the brand’s commitment to creating vehicles that are not only innovative and sustainable, but also emotionally appealing and accessible to a wider audience.

Leading the showcase is the MG GO!, a compact all-electric hatchback concept that previews a future production model expected in 2027. Designed by MG’s London Design Centre, the concept reinterprets iconic elements from MG’s classic heritage into a modern electric vehicle, delivering a youthful, expressive, and contemporary design aimed at the next generation of drivers.

Joining it is the MG Cyber Concept, a bold vision of a future high-performance electric SUV. Inspired by MG’s sporting DNA and engineering legacy, the concept demonstrates how electrification can be combined with dynamic performance, premium design, and everyday practicality. The vehicle reflects MG’s broader ambition to expand its performance-oriented lineup beyond traditional sports cars while maintaining the engaging driving character the brand is known for.

Beyond the concept vehicles, MG also showcased six of its latest New Energy Vehicles at the festival, including the recently introduced MGS9 PHEV, MG4 EV Urban, MG HS Plug-in Hybrid, MG ZS Hybrid+, MG IM5, and the award-winning MG Cyberster. Together, the lineup highlights MG’s growing global portfolio of Plug-in Hybrid, Hybrid+, and fully electric vehicles, demonstrating the brand’s continued investment in advanced technologies and sustainable mobility solutions.

Great design begins with people, not products. Technology and innovation are essential, but they can be shared. Character cannot. The future of automotive design is about creating cars with a strong identity that people instantly recognize and emotionally connect with,” said Jozef Kabaň, Vice President of Global Design. “Our MG concepts express this vision for the future of the brand.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed remains one of the world’s most prestigious automotive events, bringing together leading manufacturers to showcase the latest innovations in performance, design, and future mobility. MG’s participation underscores the brand’s ongoing transformation into a global leader in intelligent and electrified vehicles while remaining true to its sporting heritage.

For Filipino motorists, these global developments reflect MG Motor Philippines’ commitment to bringing world-class products and technologies closer to the local market. With the recent expansion of its New Energy Vehicle lineup—including the MG G50 PHEV, MG HS PHEV, MG RX9 PHEV, and MG4 Urban EV—the brand continues to strengthen its portfolio and support the country’s growing transition toward smarter, more sustainable mobility.
