Pilipinas Autogroup, Inc. (PilipinasAuto), the official distributor of Dongfeng trucks and bus in the Philippines, through its authorized dealer Dongfeng Elite Tacloban, recently turned-over four units of the Dongfeng K23W 10-Wheeler Dump Truck to a construction company based in Tacloban, Leyte. One Myrna Construction acquired these units primarily to boost productivity for their rural development projects within the Eastern Visayas region.
“We all know that the pandemic has a backward impact on a global scale but we are confident that the Philippine economy is showing signs of recovery. This can be seen by significant capital investments by key sectors such as the construction business,” PilipinasAuto VP and general manager Art Balmadrid said.
The Dongfeng K23W 10-Wheeler Dump Truck has a capacity of 22 cubic meters and efficiently powering it is a Euro 5 compliant 11-liter 6-cylinder Renault common rail diesel engine producing 385 hp at 2,100 rpm and 1,800 N-m from 1,000 to 1,500 rpm and this is coupled to a 12-speed direct drive transmission. Warranty coverage being offered by PilipinasAuto on this type of truck is 1 year or 100,000 kilometers which ever comes first.
