Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) took part in Daiichi Community’s Inspire 2.0 and Shoebox Project last Christmas to bring joy to students capping off a fruitful year for the brand. Daiichi Community is an arm under Daiichi Properties Inc. that focuses on corporate social efforts. The said social engagements have become annual traditions for the Philippine-based, award-winning commercial and industrial real estate developer. As it moves forward into a new year, HMPH strives to strengthen its commitment and hopes to carry over the same spirit of positivity.
Held last November 25, together with the Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, the non-profit social responsibility arm of Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation, developer of Bonifacio Global City, the Inspire 2.0 campaign was conducted. It is aimed to enlighten and introduce college students under their scholarship program to different types of professions they can consider for the future. As a first-time host, HMPH gave the scholars an office tour and career talks led by Mr. Victor Vela, Head of Department for Sales, together with, Mr. Christopher Penaflor, Supervisor for Service Training under the Aftersales Department, Mr. Marc Dela Cruz, Assistant Manager for Human Resources, and Mr. Paul Herrera, Head of Department for Business Administration.
The sessions revolved on their stories and how they found their way to working in the automotive industry. To further impart their wisdom to the future professionals, the HMPH team members also touched on various topics such as the importance of being open to various career opportunities, allowing learning and growth and exploring beyond personal circles to pursue success.
Following this, HMPH also supported the Shoebox Project, wherein donations from participating company tenants of Daiichi Properties were collected and packed. On December 13, school supplies such as notebooks, crayons, notepads, rulers, and school bags were distributed to elementary students of the Gat Andres Bonifacio Elementary School located in Brgy. Sto. Niño, Zone 3. HMPH Managing Director, Cecil Capacete, was in attendance and gave a short message addressed to the institution’s officials and kids as well as co-partners including ING Business Shared Services, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, and ADP Pharma Corporation, to name a few.
“At Hyundai Motor, we are in a journey towards progress for humanity. Meaning, for us it’s not all about offering innovative cars but more so enabling quality time. After all, we seek to become not just an automotive manufacturer but a mobility solutions provider that invest for the good of the people and the planet. This is our gift to mankind. We hope we were able to share and let you experience a piece of this vision,” says Mr. Capacete.
