BAIC Philippines, under the distribution of United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), has officially launched its latest offering: the BAIC B30e Dune Hybrid. Unveiled at the Main Atrium of SM Mall of Asia, this hybrid off-roader is one of the brand’s first hybrid model in the local market. Set at an introductory price of P1.488 million, the B30e Dune promises to be the most attainable off-roader in BAIC’s current lineup, bringing hybrid technology to adventurous Filipino drivers.
The BAIC B30e Dune draws inspiration from its more rugged siblings like the B40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, and B80 Wagon. Designed to tackle the great outdoors while maintaining comfort for everyday driving, the B30e Dune Hybrid is available in two variants: a 4×2 for urban explorers and a 4×4 for serious off-road enthusiasts – perfect for owners seeking an off-road experience without compromising fuel efficiency, thanks to its hybrid powertrain.

At the heart of the B30e Dune is its Dual Motor Smart Hybrid System, which integrates a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline generator with electric motors. The 4×2 variant is powered by a single electric motor, producing a combined 329 horsepower and 550 Newton-meters of torque, while the 4×4 variant steps up the game with dual electric motors, boasting an impressive 403 horsepower and a staggering 685 Newton-meters of torque. This power enables the 4×4 variant to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest in its class.
The hybrid powertrain’s energy management system offers six driving modes, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency and power delivery. The BAIC B30e Dune is available in two variants: the 4×2 model priced at P1,588,000 and the more powerful 4×4 variant at P1,888,000. However, BAIC Philippines is offering a limited-time discount of P100,000 for early buyers until September 30, 2024, reducing the prices to P1,488,000 and P1,788,000, respectively.
BAIC Philippines sets up a special display at the BAIC Base Camp at SM Mall of Asia from September 19 to 22, where potential buyers explored the vehicle up close. BAIC Brand Ambassador Ian Veneracion also made an appearance with a special performance, adding to the excitement of the launch event.
The B30e Dune and other BAIC vehicles are available at several dealerships across the Philippines, including BAIC Alabang, BAIC Marilao, and BAIC North EDSA.
