Lamborghini Revuelto:  the First Super Sports V12 Hybrid HPEV unveiled in the Philippines

Lamborghini Manila unveiled the highly anticipated Revuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), at the PGA Cars Studio in the Philippines. The launch of the Revuelto marked the beginning of Lamborghini’s electrification strategy, showcasing Lamborghini’s innovative approach to design, performance and emissions reduction.

Francesco Scardaoni, Automobili Lamborghini Asia-Pacific Region Director, commented on the occasion: “Revuelto represents a significant milestone in the history of Lamborghini and an important pillar in our Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy. This  iconic V12 HPEV delivers performance with its exceptional dynamism of electric torque vectoring and permanent four-wheel drive, ensuring the Revuelto expresses its amplified qualities both on track and in daily driving. We are thrilled to present the Revuelto, our super sports V12 hybrid plug-in flagship that creates the perfect balance between enhanced driving emotions and reducing emissions to Lamborghini’s customers and fans in the Philippines.

Revuelto defines a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure from its unprecedented new architecture; innovative design; maximum aerodynamics efficiency; and a new carbon frame concept. An output of 1015 CV is delivered from the combined power of an entirely new combustion engine together with three electric motors, alongside a double-clutch gearbox that makes its debut on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time.

The powertrain combines high-specific power elements: the new 128 CV/liter combustion engine works synergically with two front axial flux motors that deliver an outstanding weight-to-power ratio, with a radial flux electric motor positioned above the first eight-speed double-clutch gearbox debuting on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini. The three electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion high-specific power (4500 W/kg) battery pack that also supports a fully-electric drive mode.

Carbon fiber, produced via artisan craftmanship in the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory, is the principal structural element within the new car, used not only in the monofuselage and frame but also in all elements of the bodywork apart from the doors and bumpers. The extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials, combined with the potent engine power, contributes to achieving the best weight-to-power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1,75 kg/CV.

The new Revuelto combines these attributes to deliver performance figures at the peak of its segment: acceleration from 0-100 km/h in only 2,5 seconds; 0-200 km/h in less than 7 seconds; and a top speed of more than 350 km/h. These numbers combine with its exceptional dynamism thanks to the introduction of electric torque vectoring, and four-wheel drive available also in fully-electric drive mode, ensuring the Revuelto super sports car expresses its amplified qualities both on track and in daily driving.

Performance and Design

The Lamborghini Revuelto, a revolutionary super sports hybrid, boasts 1015 CV from its innovative 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors and an eight-speed double-clutch gearbox—the first of its kind for Lamborghini’s 12-cylinder engines. This powertrain features a high-specific power combustion engine, axial flux motors, and a lithium-ion battery pack, enabling electric-only driving and a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the Aventador Ultimae.

With a weight-to-power ratio of 1.75 kg/CV, the Revuelto achieves remarkable performance: 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in under 7 seconds, and a top speed of over 350 km/h. Its electric torque vectoring and all-wheel drive system enhance both agility and stability.

Design-wise, the Revuelto merges elements from Lamborghini’s iconic models—Countach, Diablo, and Murciélago—with futuristic features. It showcases aerospace-inspired sculpted surfaces, a shark-nose carbon-fiber hood, and Y-shaped headlamps. The rear prominently displays the hybrid V12 engine with exposed components and distinctive hexagonal exhausts. Inside, the cockpit features a cutting-edge layout with three digital screens and a race-inspired steering wheel.

Customization and Aerodynamics

The Revuelto offers extensive personalization options with 400 body colors and various interior choices, including sustainable Corsa-Tex microfiber. Its aerodynamic design includes an active rear wing, carbon fiber splitter, and an advanced diffuser, all enhancing airflow and stability.

The new ‘monofuselage’ chassis, constructed entirely of carbon fiber, improves stiffness and reduces weight compared to the Aventador. This advanced design not only enhances driving dynamics but also supports sustainability.

Powertrain and Layout

At the heart of the Revuelto is a 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a total output of 1015 CV. The mid-rear-mounted V12 is coupled with an eight-speed double-clutch transmission and a lithium-ion battery that optimizes weight distribution and supports electric-only driving, significantly improving performance while cutting emissions.

Electric Four-Wheel Drive and Charging

True to Lamborghini’s four-wheel drive heritage, the Revuelto combines rear power from the V12 with front traction from two electric motors, and a third motor above the gearbox powers the rear wheels as needed. The central tunnel houses a lithium-ion battery that enables zero-emissions driving and supports fast charging in 30 minutes. Regenerative braking and engine-based recharging further enhance efficiency.

Transmission and Driving Experience

The Revuelto features a compact eight-speed double-clutch transmission (DCT) mounted transversely behind the V12. Weighing just 193 kg, this DCT improves cabin space and integrates seamlessly with the hybrid system for quick shifts and optimal fuel consumption. The Revuelto’s driving dynamics are refined with a 44% front and 56% rear weight distribution, a carbon fiber monofuselage chassis, and active aerodynamics. It offers 13 driving modes, from electric-only to high-performance settings, with advanced braking and cooling systems ensuring peak performance in various conditions.

Tyres

The Revuelto is equipped with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres, available in configurations such as 265/35 ZRF20 front and 345/30 ZRF21 rear, or 265/30 ZRF21 front and 355/25 ZRF22 rear. Options include run-flat and tubeless versions. For track use, bespoke Potenza Race tyres provide maximum grip, while Blizzak LM005 tyres are available for winter driving. Bridgestone’s Virtual Tyre Development technology minimizes raw materials and emissions.

HMI, Infotainment, Connectivity, and ADAS

The Revuelto features a new Human-Machine Interface (HMI) with three displays: a 12.3″ instrument cluster, an 8.4″ central display, and a 9.1″ passenger display. This system includes 3D graphics, customizable interfaces, and real-time updates. Infotainment features real-time navigation, traffic updates, and Amazon Alexa integration, with Over-the-Air updates and a wide range of app connectivity.

Advanced ADAS includes Active Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Lamborghini Unica app allows remote monitoring and control of the vehicle, while robust cybersecurity measures ensure data protection and privacy.

The Lamborghini Revuelto represents a leap forward in high-performance hybrid sports cars, blending cutting-edge technology with Lamborghini’s rich heritage.
