BYD Cars Philippines Launches Seal Advanced, New Atto 3

After a strong year under ACMobility in 2024, BYD Cars Philippines aims to sustain its momentum in 2025 with the introduction of two new all-electric models: the BYD Seal Advanced and the new Atto 3. These were launched at the first leg of the BYD Tech Tour—an immersive and interactive road show that allows Filipinos to experience going electric.

A new variant in the Seal sports sedan range, the Seal Advanced drops its front electric motor in favor of a purely rear-wheel (and rear-mounted motor) setup. Nonetheless, it manages to produce 203 horsepower and 310 Nm. This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds.

Compared to the Seal Performance, the Seal Advanced has a smaller 61.4-kWh BYD Blade battery pack. Yet, it still manages to go up to 510 kilometers (NEDC) between charges. DC fast charging—30 to 80 percent—is the same as the Seal Performance at 30 minutes, while 0 to 100 percent using the wall box charger is shorter at 12 hours.

In terms of features, the Seal Advanced doesn’t give up much. It rides on smaller wheels (18 versus 19 inchers), has less speakers (10 versus 12), and makes do without ventilated front seats. Aside from that, it still has a 10.25-inch LCD driver’s display, a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen, 10 speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control, 8-way and 6-way power adjustment for the driver and front passenger seats, respectively. All this for P 1,998,000.

Safety-wise, the Seal Advanced comes with a full suite of ADAS on top of blind spot detection, 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and a 360-degree camera with front and rear sensors.

The 530-horsepower, all-wheel drive equipped Seal Performance is still on offer with a price of P 2,548,000.

Meanwhile, BYD has also updated the country’s best-selling battery electric vehicle, the Atto 3 for 2025.

“The latest updates to the BYD Atto 3 enhance its appeal with refined features that keep it fresh and competitive in the growing EV market,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Known for offering high-quality features at an affordable price, the Atto 3 continues to attract new customers to the brand as it solidifies its position as the electric vehicle of choice for those seeking a stylish and accessible BEV amid the market’s transition to an electric-powered lifestyle.”

The BYD Atto 3 comes still in two variants with the same prices as before (P 1,598,000 for the Dynamic and P 1,798,000 for the Premium), but now comes with a longer list of standard features. These features include a power tailgate, ambient interior lighting, a larger infotainment screen (15.6 versus 12.8), and an NFC card for keyless entry.

Aesthetically, the 2025 Atto 3 sports the revised BYD logo on the tailgate, gloss black D-pillar trim and window trim, and meatier 235/50 R 18 Continental tires for the top-of-the-line Premium (the Dynamic still keeps its 17-inch wheels and tires).

Powering the Atto 3 is a 204 horsepower, 310 Nm of torque electric motor that drives the front wheels. The Premium variant sports a 60.5-kWh battery (480 kilometers range), while the Dynamic has a 49.9-kWh one (410 kilometers range). Both have the same 0 to 100 km/h time (7.3 seconds) and top speed (160 km/h).

For 2025, the Atto 3 also comes in a new color: Cosmos Black. It joins the other colorways which are Boulder Gray, Ski White, and Surf Blue. Dark exterior colors (Cosmos Black and Boulder Gray) nets a sportier blue and black interior color, while lighter colors (Ski White and Surf Blue) comes with a more elegant blue and gray interior scheme.

“By incorporating thoughtful changes that enhance convenience, style, and performance, the BYD Atto 3 remains the perfect choice for those transitioning to electric vehicles,” said Aiffy Liu, Country Head of BYD Philippines. “Our commitment to maintaining affordability while improving design and quality makes the Atto 3 stand out in the competitive BEV market.”
