Range buster: Jaecoo J5 EV delivers 117% of its declared NEDC range in real-world run by AAP

OMODA & JAECOO Philippines announced that the all-electric JAECOO J5 EV exceeded its officially declared driving range during an endurance test observed by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) from July 14 to 15, 2026.

The evaluation saw the JAECOO J5 EV record a total distance of 539.2 kilometers, surpassing its declared 461-kilometer NEDC driving range by 78.2 kilometers. The vehicle achieved 117% of its declared NEDC range, or nearly 17% beyond the official figure. Much like the finest athletes lighting up the global stage this July, the JAECOO J5 EV proved it could truly go the extra mile.

The endurance drive commenced at Petron Marilao in Bulacan and followed a route through TPLEX, continuing north to La Union before concluding in Subic. The route covered a variety of road and traffic conditions, reflecting the demands of long-distance travel on Philippine highways.

Throughout the test, the JAECOO J5 EV consistently demonstrated strong energy efficiency, stable battery performance, and reliable long-range capability. The results highlight the vehicle’s ability to deliver driving distances beyond its declared range under real-world test conditions.

Equipped with an advanced electric powertrain, intelligent safety technologies, and modern connectivity features designed to support everyday mobility needs, the JAECOO J5 EV is built for both urban commuting and extended highway journeys. Its performance during the endurance run further reinforces its capability to deliver confidence and efficiency in real-world driving conditions.

The JAECOO J5 EV’s endurance achievement reflects OMODA & JAECOO’s broader commitment to innovation beyond electrified mobility. On the global stage, the brand continues to engage audiences through its “Play Loud, Shine Proud” campaign during the FIFA World Cup, celebrating passion, performance, and the spirit of exploration. At the same time, OMODA & JAECOO continues to push the boundaries of intelligent mobility through AiMOGA, its humanoid robotics initiative that showcases the brand’s vision of AI-powered technologies and future smart mobility ecosystems.

As interest in electric vehicles continues to grow in the Philippines, the JAECOO J5 EV’s endurance test results demonstrate the potential of modern EV technology to meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorists. Filipino consumers will soon have the opportunity to experience this capability firsthand as OMODA & JAECOO Philippines officially launches the all-new JAECOO J5 EV on July 22, 2026.
