Filipinos curious about electric vehicles will have plenty to see—and drive—when the 14th Philippine EV Summit (PEVS) returns to the SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City from October 22 to 24, 2026.
Organized by the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), this year’s summit brings together more than 15 vehicle brands and a wide range of companies involved in charging, financing, insurance, technology and electric mobility.
For visitors, one of the biggest draws will be the opportunity to experience different types of electric vehicles in one place. The lineup covers everything from city cars and family SUVs to premium and performance models, commercial vehicles and electric two-wheelers. Among the brands participating in the vehicle display and test-drive program are BYD, Kia, Toyota, Nissan, MG, Zeekr, Deepal, MINI, Lotus, Changan, AVATR, Dongfeng Motors and Forland. NWOW and NXT will represent the growing light-electric-mobility segment.
“The best way to understand an EV is to drive one,” said EVAP President Willy Q. Tee Ten. “At PEVS, you can try a family SUV in the morning, sit in a performance car after lunch, and test an e-motorcycle before you head home.”
The variety is significant because the Philippine EV market has expanded considerably since PEVS began showcasing electric mobility. Previous editions of the summit have also served as a venue for important EV introductions and previews, including models such as the Kia EV9, BYD eMAX9, GAC AION UT, and more, giving the event a role beyond simply displaying vehicles already on sale.
That evolution mirrors the wider Philippine market, which is moving from the early question of whether electric vehicles can work locally toward more practical questions about charging, ownership costs, infrastructure and regulation.
PEVS 2026 is designed as a showcase of the broader electric-mobility ecosystem rather than a conventional motor show.
Visitors can explore charging solutions intended for different applications, from home charging setups to systems designed for commercial, industrial and fleet operations. Companies involved in charging infrastructure and technology will be on hand to demonstrate how the supporting network behind EV ownership is developing.
The summit will also bring together banks, financing companies and insurance providers, giving prospective EV buyers an opportunity to look beyond the vehicle’s sticker price and understand the financial side of making the switch.
For those interested in the bigger picture, policy discussions will form another major part of the event. Representatives from the Department of Energy and other industry stakeholders are expected to discuss the regulatory and infrastructure roadmap shaping electric mobility in the Philippines.
“We’ve gone from convincing people that EVs work here to actually building the ecosystem around them—the vehicles, the chargers, the financing, the policy,” Tee Ten said.
The 2026 edition carries the theme “Driving ASEAN Forward: Building an Integrated Electric Mobility Ecosystem,” placing the Philippine EV transition within the wider Southeast Asian market. The theme is particularly relevant as the Philippines takes on the ASEAN chairmanship in 2026. EVAP said the summit will look at how countries in the region can move toward greater cooperation in areas such as standards, manufacturing and policies supporting electric mobility.
“We’re not building this ecosystem for the Philippines alone,” Tee Ten said. “The Philippines is part of a region of nearly 700 million people, and this year’s Summit is about showing that ASEAN is ready to move together—on standards, on manufacturing, and on the policies that get more people into electric vehicles.”
The timing also comes as electrified vehicle sales in the Philippines continue to grow. The government has also set a target of reaching 50% EV penetration on Philippine roads by 2040, putting greater emphasis on the infrastructure and policies needed to support that transition.
This year’s exhibitors and partners include ACMobility Holdings Inc., the AutoHub Group of Companies, Toyota Motor Philippines, and the Department of Energy (DOE). They are joined on the show floor by an expanding roster of exhibitors and partners spanning vehicles, charging, insurance, and technology: Wuling Philippines, Nissan Philippines, Autowise, Pioneer Trucks, Technoplan, Dongfeng Motors, MERALCO, Power Equipment & Supplies, Inc. (PESIN), Pyro X, EVOxCharge, NWOW International, Shandong Weiwei Power, Pioneer Insurance, Intercharge Corp., Eclimo Electric Management Inc. (EEMI), Shandong Longli Electronics, FCC Philippines, Finasiatech Corp., ChargeCube Technologies, Shan County Chaofu New Energy, and WeCharge Hyperfast.
