Changan and Inchcape Philippines have announced the official arrival of the new Eado Plus sedan. It replaces the Alsvin as their offering in the affordable sedan segment. In its home country, the Eado is a consistent best-seller in the ICE sedan segment and goes wheel to wheel with the likes of Volkswagen and Nissan.
The Changan Eado Plus will be available in 2 trims both having 2 pedals only. It starts at PHP 750,000 for the Lite DCT, while the Luxe DCT is at PHP 799,999. There’s also introductory pricing of PHP 699,000 for the Lite and PHP 749,000 for the Luxe until April 30, 2026.
It’s powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Together it produces 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, with the Luxe having Eco and Normal driving modes.
The Eado has a contemporary look for 2026 at least from the front face. It has a grille that extends to the headlights with slim accents of chrome on some borders. There’s no fog light but it has faux vents on where the lights were supposed to be.
There are sharp character lines on the side profile for a dynamic look. It connects to the taillights that accent the corners of the flat rear. It’s mostly flat but hints of sportiness are there on the rear bumper.
Amenities include LED Daytime Running Lights, Automatic Halogen Headlights, Power Adjust and Heated Side Mirrors, and LED taillights.
While the exterior looks up to date, the cabin is a bit more modern. In front of the driver is a panoramic array of screens containing the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and the 7-inch or 10-inch touchscreen. It’s accompanied by Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 2 or 4-speaker setup, and Type-A USB ports. It’s also available with Automatic Climate Control, PM2.5 Grade Filter, and Rear Air Vents.
There’s also a wide array of safety features in the Eado. Front Airbags, ABS, EBD, Electronic Stability Program, Traction Control System, Brake Assist System, Hill Hold Control, Hill Start Assist, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System are available.
Going for the Luxe trim gets you additional Side Airbags, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Brake Hold, Rear Camera, Push Start, Remote Engine Start, and Speed Sensing Door Locks.
The Changan Eado Plus is available now in Changan dealerships nationwide. You can have it in White, Black, Andean Gray, and Titanium Silver Gray.
