Nissan Philippines is putting more force on its electrification efforts with the launch of the all-new X-Trail e-POWER at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show. They also used the event to preview several upcoming electrified models that could shape the brand’s future lineup in the country.
Taking center stage at Nissan’s display is the return of the X-Trail, now powered by Nissan’s e-POWER technology and will serve as the current flagship for their hybrid system.
Unlike conventional hybrids, the X-Trail e-POWER uses an electric motor to drive the wheels, producing 204 PS and 330 Nm of torque. A 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine acts solely as a generator to charge the battery, eliminating the need for external charging while delivering an EV-like driving experience.

The new model also receives a more modern design, featuring a glossy black grille, matte silver lower bumper fairing, signature LED lighting, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Rain-sensing wipers come standard, adding convenience during changing weather conditions.

Inside, the X-Trail adopts a more premium approach with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a matching 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other cabin amenities include a Panoramic Sunroof, 8-way Power-Adjustable front seats, and Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control with Rear Air Vents.
Nissan has also equipped the X-Trail with a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies. These include a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Rear View Mirror, e-Pedal Step, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist, and Driver Attention Assist.
The all-new X-Trail e-POWER is now available at Nissan dealerships nationwide with a suggested retail price of PHP 2.29 million. Nissan is also offering a limited Launch Edition finished in exclusive two-tone color combinations including Everest White, Stealth Pearl Gray, and Sahara Dune Metallic.

Also on display is the next-generation Kicks e-POWER, which adopts a more upright and boxier exterior design while receiving updates to its technology and cabin. The model builds on the strengths of the current Kicks, one of the early modern hybrid vehicles in the Philippines.

Making its debut with the Kicks is the Primera EV, reviving a familiar Nissan nameplate as a fully electric vehicle. The sedan features a sleek exterior design paired with a technology-focused interior, highlighting Nissan’s push toward more connected and premium electric mobility.

Last is the Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid, a pickup concept that combines Nissan’s off-road heritage with an electrified powertrain. The model emphasizes Nissan’s aim to bring electrification into the pickup segment while retaining the rugged capabilities expected from the Navara name.
According to Nissan Philippines President Yoshinori Kanazawa, the return of the X-Trail marks another step in the company’s strategy to expand its electrified offerings in the local market.
“The return of the X-Trail, now with e-POWER, marks an important step for Nissan Philippines as we continue to strengthen our electrified lineup,” Kanazawa said during the event.
Other Nissan models like the Navara, Terra, Livina, and Almera are also present at their outdoor booth.
Visitors to the Nissan booth can also take advantage of special event promotions. Customers who reserve an X-Trail e-POWER during the promo period can receive a PHP 20,000 cash discount and one year of Nissan Protect+, while reservations for the all-new Kicks e-POWER come with a PHP 10,000 cash discount. Additional incentives are also available for buyers of the Terra, Navara, Livina, and Almera through Nissan’s Gashapon Pick-a-Prize program.
The 10th Philippine International Motor Show runs until June 7 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
