Toyota had a stacked lineup during the 10th Philippine International Motor Show. The all-new Hilux made an entrance, as well as the all-new Land Cruiser FJ. A familiar sight beside the two is the brand’s flagship SUV, the Land Cruiser 300. It looks similar to what we’ve seen before, but it’s also got something new under the hood. This LC is now a hybrid.
The multi-pathway approach of the brand towards green mobility extends to the flagship SUV. It’s in line with their aim to provide more electrified choices for their consumers as they are retaining the V6 Diesel variant along with the new trim.
Under the hood is a 3.5-liter Twin-Turbo V6 gasoline engine with a 1-motor hybrid system. It has a maximum output of 415 PS, or 109 more than the Diesel, while torque sits at 650 Nm. This is paired to the same 10-speed automatic that’s also in the Diesel trim. It also retains the Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Sport S, Sport S+, and Custom drive modes.

Outside, the only difference of the LC300 HEV would be the Jet Black Aero appointments and the HEV badge on the car.
Another key difference would be for the driver. They now have Electric Power Steering for an even more refined driving experience. At the back, the middle seats are now 60-40 split-and-tumble instead of 40-20-40.
All other appointments are carried over from its Diesel sibling. These include the Adaptive Variable Suspension System, Limited Slip Differential, LED lighting with Sequential Turn Signals, Auto-Folding Side Mirrors with Memory, Heating, and Reverse-link, 4-zone Automatic Climate Control, Heating and Ventilation up to the second-row seats, 12.3-inch touchscreen with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 14-speaker JBL sound system, and Powered Tailgate with Kick Sensor.
Safety is also top tier for the LC300 HEV. It has eight airbags around the cabin, Turn Assist, four Front and 4 Rear Sensors, as well as Active Traction Control, among other standard safety features. It also has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 that includes Pre-Collision System, Adaptive High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

The arrival of the LC300 HEV is Toyota saying that they are pushing towards the future of mobility without leaving the heritage models behind. They are also keen on ensuring that the core features that made these cars legendary are retained. This allows customers to go out for an adventure in the most challenging scenarios while minimizing their carbon emissions.
“Toyota is dedicated to offering a wide range of cars ranging from ICEs, HEVs, and BEVs to cater to the diverse needs of customers – with the LC300 HEV being the latest effort towards this commitment. Customers can now enjoy the practical hybrid technology Toyota offers in combination with the proven quality, durability, and reliability of the Land Cruiser 300. We hope that this new and improved variant of the LC300 will empower more customers to choose Toyota when looking for a partner for adventure,” shared TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid comes in Attitude Black Mica, Silver Metallic, and Gray Metallic with the price point of PHP 6,930,000. Meanwhile, the LC300 HEV in the Precious White Pearl color will come in at PHP 6,945,000. Customers may reserve the LC300 HEV now through any authorized Toyota dealership nationwide.
