Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is off to a strong start in 2025, once again asserting its dominance in the local truck industry. From January to April this year, Isuzu claimed a commanding 43% share of the truck market, based on figures from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA). With 1,592 units sold during the first four months, the brand has now held the number one spot for an impressive 25 consecutive years.
“Our continued leadership in the truck market reflects the brand’s unwavering commitment to delivering vehicles that truly work for our customers. Owning an Isuzu truck means investing in a product that is proven to last longer, perform more efficiently, and cost less to maintain over time. Backed by our nationwide aftersales support, Isuzu trucks give businesses a clear edge – helping them stay competitive, reduce downtime, and maximize profitability,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui.
Strong Sales Across the Range
Much of Isuzu’s success this year has been driven by its N-Series light-duty trucks, which remain the top choice for many in the logistics and delivery sectors. With 905 units sold from January to April, the N-Series saw a 7.2% increase in sales compared to the same period last year. The availability of the Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT) option continues to be a major draw for businesses operating in busy urban areas, where ease of use and maneuverability are key.
Medium-duty trucks also contributed significantly to IPC’s total, with 545 units sold – up 2.4% year-on-year. These trucks are well-suited for long-haul operations and can be customized with a variety of body configurations, making them versatile for different industries. Enhanced driver safety features further boost their appeal.
Isuzu’s heavy-duty models, meanwhile, saw the highest growth, posting a remarkable 59% increase over last year. A total of 142 units were sold, with strong demand coming from infrastructure-related sectors and local government projects. Leading the charge is the newly launched S and E Series, equipped with modern technologies such as Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC) and an advanced driver coaching instrument cluster.
Dependability Beyond the Sale
Isuzu’s reputation goes beyond just selling reliable trucks – it’s also about what comes after. The brand’s renowned aftersales program, known as the “Isuzu Advantage,” offers a suite of services that ensure peace of mind for truck owners throughout their vehicle’s lifespan. This includes a wide-reaching dealer network, guaranteed parts availability, and even the Isuzu Mobile Medic service, which brings maintenance and diagnostics directly to customers.
On top of that, IPC provides expert field engineering support and offers extensive training programs for drivers and mechanics. These initiatives help ensure vehicles are operated safely and efficiently, further maximizing uptime and long-term value for businesses.
