Pirelli just launched their Cinturato Rosso tires now with Seal Inside technology. This tire-puncture solution used to be exclusive in their top-tier tires but has now trickled down to their more attainable offering.

This self-sealing tech is different from run-flat tires or liquid sealants that others use. Run-flat is a technology on the tire’s sidewalls itself. Meanwhile, liquid sealant is unstable as it depends on the tire’s rotation to make sure the whole tire is covered. It’s also usually effective for only a year.

Pirelli’s Seal Inside technology is more stable and more effective. The sealant is already applied to the whole area in the tire’s interior and sealed so it doesn’t move around, even if the tire is static for an extended period of time. It allows the tire to maintain its air pressure even after puncture with tolerance to objects up to 5mm in diameter or holes up to 6mm in diameter, allowing you to continue your journey. Best of all, there’s no special maintenance needed for the Seal Inside technology. You can still use your standard inflation method and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

There was a demonstration to us during the launch where they intentionally punctured two cars that are using the Cinturato Rosso with their tech. Even with 5 people onboard, the cars didn’t really lose air as it went around Parqal after a nail puncture.
This is a great addition to the Cinturato Rosso’s signature of quietness, smooth handling, and comfort. The noise-reducing rib design is now complemented with this self-sealing layer for more peace of mind when driving in and out of the city.
The Cinturato Rosso with Seal Inside technology will be available in tires 16 to 20 inches, covering a wide array of cars in the country.
Visit any of Pirelli’s authorized dealerships in the Philippines and make sure the Seal Inside logo is on the tire to make sure you’re getting the proper tire-puncture solution for your car.
