Isuzu showcases 26 years of truck leadership and future mobility at the 1st Philippine International Truck Show

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the country’s leading truck manufacturer and distributor, proudly showcased its legacy of reliability, innovation, and customer commitment at the inaugural Philippine International Truck Show (PITS), held from October 22 to 24, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

Built on Japanese truck heritage, trusted by Filipino businesses

Celebrating 26 consecutive years as the Philippines’ No. 1 truck brand, Isuzu highlighted the strength of its Japanese truck heritage, its latest commercial vehicle solutions, and its vision for the future of transportation. Through a carefully selected lineup of dependable business vehicles and emerging electric truck technology, Isuzu demonstrated how its products and comprehensive aftersales support continue to drive businesses and industries forward.

IPC President Mikio Tsukui expressed his appreciation for this important milestone for the Philippine commercial vehicle industry.  “We are very pleased that TMA and ABMAP have come together to organize the first Philippine International Truck Show. This is an important milestone for our industry, as it provides a dedicated platform to showcase commercial vehicles, new technologies, and the capabilities of our local truck manufacturing and body-building industries. At Isuzu, we strongly believe that the continued collaboration between vehicle manufacturers, local body builders, and industry partners is essential in developing transportation solutions that support Philippine businesses and contribute to the growth of our economy,” said Tsukui.

Practical business solutions: From last-mile delivery to cold chain logistics

At this year’s PITS, Isuzu celebrates this heritage while demonstrating its commitment to evolving with the changing needs of Filipino businesses. At the Isuzu Pavilion, visitors are introduced to three distinct commercial vehicle solutions, each demonstrating how Isuzu continues to respond to the evolving requirements of Philippine businesses.

Isuzu TRAVIZ Utility Van: Carry more, deliver more, earn more

Leading the display was the bestselling Isuzu TRAVIZ, presented in its new Mercury Silver body color and equipped with a Utility Van body built by Almazora Motors Corporation, one of the country’s established commercial vehicle body builders.

Designed for entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises, and logistics operators, the TRAVIZ combines maneuverability, durability, and excellent cargo-carrying capability, making it an ideal partner for everyday business operations.

Powered by Isuzu’s proven 2.5-liter 4JA1 Blue Power diesel engine, the TRAVIZ delivers a 78ps and 176.5Nm of torque, providing dependable pulling power and fuel-efficient performance for daily commercial operations.

With a maximum payload capacity of up to 1,660 kilograms, the TRAVIZ allows businesses to transport more goods in fewer trips, helping improve delivery efficiency and reduce operating costs. Its high-torque diesel engine provides the pulling power needed to handle heavy loads while maintaining the fuel efficiency that business owners expect from Isuzu.

Isuzu NLR85 C-Tech Reefer Van: Keeping businesses fresh and moving

Recognizing the growing importance of cold chain logistics in the Philippines, Isuzu also showcased the NLR85 C-Tech Reefer Van, featuring a 10-foot refrigerated body built by CENTRO Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. Designed for businesses that require temperature-controlled transportation, the NLR85 C-Tech Reefer Van provides a dependable solution for the delivery of frozen food, meat, seafood, dairy products, and other temperature-sensitive goods.

The refrigerated body is capable of maintaining temperatures as low as -25°C, helping businesses preserve product quality and maintain appropriate storage conditions throughout the delivery process.

Under the hood, the NLR85 is powered by Isuzu’s 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCC Blue Power turbo-intercooler diesel engine, generating 124ps and an impressive maximum torque of 354 Nm. This combination delivers strong low-end pulling power and dependable performance, making it well-suited for refrigerated cargo transportation and demanding daily delivery operations.

Built on Isuzu’s proven N-Series truck platform, the vehicle combines the reliability and durability of Isuzu diesel technology with a specialized refrigerated body solution developed for demanding commercial applications. The display highlights the importance of collaboration between truck manufacturers and local body builders in providing complete, ready-for-business transportation solutions.

Isuzu N-Series EV Concept Truck: A glimpse into the future of commercial mobility

Taking center stage at the Isuzu Pavilion is the Isuzu N-Series EV Concept Truck, offering visitors a glimpse into the potential future of electric commercial transportation.

The fully battery-electric concept truck features a 100-kWh battery capacity and an estimated driving range of approximately 299 kilometers under specified operating conditions, demonstrating the potential application of battery-electric technology in commercial delivery operations.

As businesses and industries explore ways to improve operational efficiency and reduce their environmental impact, battery-electric trucks represent one possible solution for selected transportation requirements, particularly operations with predictable routes and suitable charging infrastructure.

The N-Series EV Concept Truck reflects Isuzu’s broader multi-pathway approach to future mobility, recognizing that different industries, customers, and operating environments require different powertrain solutions.

Rather than relying on a single technology, Isuzu continues to explore various mobility solutions while maintaining its commitment to the proven reliability and efficiency of its existing diesel-powered commercial vehicle lineup.

“The introduction of our N-Series EV Concept Truck at this exhibition represents an opportunity for us to showcase emerging technologies and better understand the future requirements of the Philippine commercial vehicle market. We recognize that the transition toward more sustainable transportation will depend on many factors, including customer needs, infrastructure readiness, and operational requirements. At Isuzu, we believe in a multi-pathway approach, offering practical mobility solutions that are appropriate for different businesses and market conditions,” Tsukui explained.

The N-Series EV is presented as a concept display for technology demonstration and market exploration, with no confirmed plans for local commercial introduction at this time.

The Isuzu Advantage: More than just a truck

Beyond its product lineup, Isuzu emphasized that its sustained market leadership is built not only on the quality and reliability of its vehicles, but also on the comprehensive support it provides to customers throughout their ownership journey.

At the heart of this commitment is the Isuzu Advantage, an integrated customer support approach designed to help businesses maximize vehicle uptime, improve operating efficiency, and achieve long-term value from their investments.

Through its nationwide network of authorized Isuzu dealerships and service facilities, customers have access to professional maintenance, technical assistance, and dependable aftersales services wherever their businesses operate. Complementing this network is Isuzu’s nationwide parts support, helping customers secure genuine Isuzu parts necessary to maintain vehicle performance and minimize downtime.

Isuzu also invests in the continuous development of its expert service technicians, equipping them with specialized knowledge, technical training, and diagnostic capabilities to maintain the company’s wide range of commercial vehicles.

Recognizing that vehicle performance also depends on proper operation and maintenance, Isuzu provides additional customer support through driver and mechanic training programs. These initiatives help fleet operators and business owners improve vehicle handling, promote preventive maintenance, and maximize the useful life of their trucks.

Its Eco-Drive Training Program further supports customers by promoting fuel-efficient driving practices, helping reduce unnecessary fuel consumption, improve operational efficiency, and encourage responsible vehicle use. Together, these programs reinforce Isuzu’s commitment to delivering a complete ownership experience that extends well beyond the initial vehicle purchase.

“Our responsibility to our customers does not end when we deliver a truck. We understand that every day a truck is operating means productivity and income for the business. Through the Isuzu Advantage, we provide our customers with nationwide aftersales support, genuine parts availability, skilled technicians, and training programs that help them operate their vehicles more efficiently. This complete support system is one of the key reasons why Filipino businesses continue to place their trust in Isuzu,” Tsukui emphasized.
